This is on my Lightning.

Check engine lights been on snice I bought it, but has run fine.

Today it started stumbling, at a cruise below 3k rpm, give it gas and as it hits the 3k rpm mark it clears up and takes off.

Self engine Test was my option to see what might be up, but Im having trouble counting.....

I first tried to count the blinks in the truck couldn't get it, came inside and its like a zoo here with a four year old and 7 year old.

So if you can help me count them I would be grateful and will take it as a learning experience on how to do it.

Heres the website to tell you how: Ford Fuel Injection » How To Run a Self-Test (http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/?p=13)

Heres the video...

Rob, I think I counted out codes 33 and codes 73. I done it three different times and all came out the same. I think each flash counts as a 10. So. if they are four flashes it is a 40 then a puase and then say three flashes. That would make the two series of flashes become a code 43 I think. Check these two codes and see if they are anykind of trouble code. I hope I helped ya out somewhat.

73 X TPS senor did not exceed 25% rotation during Dynamic Response Test (user error).

33 X X EGR valve opening not detected.

This is what the codes should be for.

I did catch 33, the timing was kind of throwing me off but I'm pretty sure it was 73. Autozone / Advance should be able plug up to it and tell you exactly for free. That way you know exactly.

Personally I say the truck isn't worth the trouble, you should probably bum it off to some poor sap (like me) so you don't have to deal with it. :)

here what I get.....notice it repeats each time:

111 (repeat) 111 = 111 self past

1 1111111 111 = 173 would rich on right side

111 111 11 = 332 EGR valve opening not detected.

Then Repeat

1 1111111 111

111 111 11

Now that I look at it again, you're right, its not 1 1 1 is 1 pause 1 pause 1 repeat, so yeah, the KOEO code is self pass.

Now that I understand the timing it makes it a lot easier to read. LOL

I see the 172 and 332 but that list says 172 isn't a CM code, I don't know WHY it has it marked as a KOER code since the related left side code is listed as a CM code. maybe it's a typo.... well, obviously its a typo since you got it as a CM code. I'll stop rambling now. :lol1:

I still think you should give me the truck. :lol1:

Take it to auto zone, advance auto, or a local parts store of the liking and they should be able hook up a reader, pull the codes, and print a recipt with the fault, what it means, and what part (with numbers and price) to fix. All for free at the two I mentioned by name.
