I know nothing about matching parts and getting the best to go with what you have. KB is getting me a motor from a buddy of his.Has gt40 uppper, lower and heads.Said it should have 1.7 roller rockers.Im going with the 3550 trans and a 373 gear. Also picked up a nos wet kit goes up to 200.To get to the point im wanting to go with a bigger cam. What should i do or go with?

with the Gt-40 stuff I dont reccomend much bigger than a B-303...Oh wait you said something about spraying the car......TFS stage 1 hands down :thumbsup1: expect to flycut the pistons with a 1.7rr

a F is okay....I think you might gain more from a crane or TFS cam though

cut down on your rocker ratio and you will have more choices. i have an e-cam in my 95 with 1.6 rockers. try if you can to stay away from motorsports cams. all they do is sound good.

then i will have to find some 1.6

I'd guess around $350 or so. About what you'd pay for something from AFM or one of Comps nicer grinds...

I know custome cams are on the rise, but I think a TFS stage 1 cam is a good all around cam or a Lunati 51014. If you are going to change your combo around then a stock cam will still work but just not as good. I think a TFS will work fine.

X2 :yes1:

Either of the above mentioned cams will work. I have seen both cams ran in the same setup with 1.7's also. Wouldn't hurt to check PV Clarence, but I bet you it will be fine. In the old days, we would run the GT40's & 1.7's with the Wolverine 1087, which is a bigger cam then the ones above, without problems.

Thats the same cam that is going in my 306.:D

And if you need a set of 1.6's, Art has a set for cheap for sale.
