Ok guys, the fall club shoot out will be Sept 24th. I have talked with Troy about it and we have a meeting with Blake from Holcomb motorsports scheduled to plan out this event a lil better. Any more input from those of you who were there would be appreciated.

lol, I actually felt bad when I saw you pull off to the side of the track. I thought somthing major let loose and since I was the one who got yall to come out, I kinda felt guilty... lol. Our 2011 5.0 that broke actually was back up and running the next day and actually came out a lil better.

For the actual "Civil Wars" there are a ton of classes. The club shootout is just a "Sub Class" in the days activities. Each club sends 6 cars out, 3 NA and 3 PA. Lowest club et wins.

Just throwing this out there, after the last race a few people said they didn't like the single power adder limitation. So I want yall's opinion on this. Keep it single powa adder or allow compound boost.

So who in y'alls group is wanting to spray a Cobra...???:hi:

lol. The same guy who busted his rearend in his 5.0 last time against yall. He said his 2011 isn't gonna be touching the track for awhile cuz of the #8 cly issue with them. So instead he wants to race his Cobra. Our 3 fastest cars are all down rite now. One's getting a turbo installed and the owners on a deployment, one just isn't dialed in and is having some major fuel issues, and the other is having some oiling down issues and fuel issues as well. All 3 are 9-10 sec cars, but we prob won't end up with but one of em for this. I had several people ask about doing multipul power adders and just thought I'd throw it out there.

Awful lotta' smack talk going on here...remember, part of why we've been invited is because of the attitude we bring to this event making this more about everyone having a great time while reducing the prick factor that something like this can generate. One club that was talked about getting an invite last year was passed on because of this.

Although we may have an idea of what WOT Mustangs has, this event is shaping up to be a 4-club shootout with one of the clubs not being a mustang specific club. Who knows what they'll bring(Z06s, Supras, Vipers, 911T???). I think we'd all have pee-pee running down the leg if some UGR cars showed up. :yes1:

Either way we need to bring our "A" game while maintaining the friendly, classy and yet spirited reputation our club has become known for! ;)

On a serious note, the WOT group was super nice last year. They've got a bunch of nice cars. :yes1: I know that a lot of their members are in the military, so it makes it tough to have them bring their A game with 1/2 of their members deployed :patriot:

Must have full interior. rear seat delete ok, but must have 2 front seats, door pannels, dash ect. These can all be aftermarket peices, just has to be there. we dont care if insulation is pulled from under carpet or trunk pannels are missing. Just no stripped down cars. We had issues with Hoosier tires last time. Some of their tires (not slicks) are not DOT approved and arent supposed to be allowed, but we didn't know that untill Holcomb told us. So we may allow them for our club comp, but vehicles running these tires will not be elligable for True Street winnings. The rules aren't made around our cars nor for our clubs personal bennifit (sp). We aren't really expecting to win this going into this, we're just trying to get the event off the ground and become somthing bigger. Next year may be our year though...

Club vs Club drag challenge rules:
1. All cars must be registered, tagged and have insurance.
2. One power adder system per car only. Explanation: A Supercharger is considered a power adder system as well as a twin turbo. A nitrous car with 2 stages of nitrous is a power adder system. If you combine a super charger and nitrous that is considered two power adder systems and is prohibited.
3. Full interior required. Fabricated door panels allowed, race seats allowed, rear seat delete allowed.
4. DOT approved street tires example Nitto’s NT555R, Mickey Thompson ET streets, or Hoosiers QTP. Note: TIRES MUST BE DOT APPROVED.
5. Any car that runs faster than 10.00 in the ¼ mile will require a roll cage.
6. All drivers must have a helmet.
7. No adjustments to any cars will be made between runs except for tire pressure.
How the “Club vs Club Drag Challenge” will run:
Each club will enter 6 cars, 3 power adders and 3 NA cars. All cars will enter in the "true street" category of Civil Wars. Each car will race in the event until the event is over. Blake from Holcomb will be keeping track of all our cars et's during the racing competition. He will then take each cars best et of the day and add them together with your other cars’ best et for an overall team et total. The club with the lowest et wins!!!! Note: If a car breaks before his first pass then he will automatically receive a 14 second et as his/her pass. If a car breaks during the race after his first pass, his or her best pass will be used.
How “true street “event is ran:
“For True Street there will be a short cruise that all shootout entrants must complete. Then three back to back 1/4 mile runs. Best average wins.
There will be awards for 10-11-12-13 second categories.
For the shootout portion we will take the best two out of three for each pair but they will also be competiting for the true street trophies as well.”

Explain "full interior" please. I need some clarification.

For those racers of a larger frame, packing them into a Mustang results in a "full interior"!!

Kidding aside, I'm assuming headliner, carpet & dash, then allowances have been made for fabricated door panels, rear seat delete and the two front seats can both be race seats(but there must be two of them).

Maybe SuperDan can clarify further??

Blake told us for the club vs club shootout we CAN have some flexabality but those cars won't be eligable for True Street winnings. Yes 2 front seats are required, carpet is required, i don't see much difference with or with our a head liner, but immagine it's required. IDC if it's there or not though. Must have a DOT helmet and such. Any rules in question just ask.
