Hi all, im Mike, I moved to Alabama a month ago after a lifelong american dream. Within a week I had to get my all time favourite car, the fox mustang.
Is there anyone else here from Birmingham or Alabama?

The clear coat has failed but its a solid car. I've fixed a few small bits on it and have about 5 things left before I start on the paint. Just having my dinner and ill elaborate on my dream.

LOL hello everyone.
Since I was a child I was always facinated with America, I was brought up on films like Convoy, Smokey and the bandit, Vanishing Point, Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, programs like the dukes of hazzard, a team etc. I have always love american v8 rwd muscle cars none of the european fwd garbage.
I love the southern culture, the southern accents, the scenery the whole lot. My favourite bands are creedence, the eagles, lynyrd skynyrd. These bands are not well known back home. If anyone has been to England here they will know it is a sess pit.
Last February I came to Birmingham for a vacation and within a few hours I was in my element. I wanted into a piano bar and the first song they played was take it easy.
I travelled around listening to country music and visited the Lynyrd Skynyrd crash site in MI. I was in love with America.
The american government make it extremely hard for foreigners to live in the US. Even English people, I can understand why the government doesnt want the country over populated. However i have my own finances, no debt, im educated, hard working, more than happy to pay tax etc but this means nothing.
Im studying at university at the moment and I live with my lovely American gf. I am living the dream right now, even though I am not allowed to work.
To all of you I must say you don't know how lucky you are. Your country rocks.

I don't like sweet tea, its far too sweet, cornbread is nice and I like grits and chow chow.
"all I can do is write about " is definately one of their best songs.
Alot of top gear is on you tube now.
A Ford Mondeo is a middle sized family car, fwd and boring.

The ST220 is the high performance model but it aint no mustang.
It is extremely hard to get a work visa unless you have an extremely rare skill that the American workforce cannot provide or if there is a demand.
I am a Police Community Support Officer, because I am not American I am not legible to join any US law enforcement.
Eventually I would like a gain permanent resident status, once I have that I can join the armed forces. It would be an honor to serve for this country.
Outside America at the moment there is alot of anti American sentiment. Alot of people forget that when the **** goes down the US are there. If it wasnt for the US assistance in WW2 or the Cold War we would not be "free" as we are now.

Hello Mike, and welcome to our side of the Atlantic Ocean & our Foxbody Family. You and your g/f really need to come to Mustangweek at Myrtle Beach, SC in July and meet a bunch of us, and join in the 3rd annual foxbody cruise.
If there is anything you need, just give us a yell.

Thats like the only car that they talk about on Top Gear. From its history its a British Contour. Any cool cars across the pond from Ford?? I seen a hot looking Focus and Festivia... Along with some imported 60's Stangs a few GT's...

The king of european fords is the RS200 but not affordable by the average person.
RS models are the rally sport versions, the RS badge is equivlent to SVT.
Cosworths have a cult status, if you had a ford cosworth in the 80s or 90s you were the DUKE!

There a couple more rs fords but these are the best.
This year ford is bringing out a new rs focus, 300bhp fwd, alot of people are not happy with ford as weve been waiting for a 4wd cosworth for over 10 years.
