So I'd like to advance the timing a little, as I've heard it makes a slight difference. But I'd rather not spend $50 on something I'm going to use once or twice if it's not worth it. So is it worth it?:headscratch:

Should have said something when you were over here the other day. I could have checked it for ya.

EDIT: If you want come by one day and we'll see where it's at. Usually bumping it to 13-14 BTDC instead of the stock 10 helps a little. Just have to make sure you run 92-93 gas with the timing like that.

x2. Good tools are always worth the investment.
BTW, you have UDLose for a screen name and haven't checked or adjusted the timing. Just found that a little funny.

Maybe one day if I ever decide to invest in a camera...but I don't really have a need for one, so its doubtful. But just picture your silver car, but red. :thumbsup1:

I'm finding both of you a little funny!:taunt: And I have timing light that will add 50hp guaranteed! If used correctly and strictly by the instructions. If you receive less than 50hp, chalk it up to operator error. On the serious tip, I have three timing lights. I'll sell you one of mine for cheap. It's a good tool to have, just not three. I'll even throw in a free lesson how to use w/o any guarantees.

IDLose to both of you cause mine is torn apart in the garage. I envy people that actually drive their stangs. by the way mine is a SSP also.

I heard that. If you seen my other thread, mine has been down for almost a year to the day, but it started last weekend. Feels good just to hear it run again.

I got you beat! I got mine running last year for the first time in about 8 years. Now It's tore back apart to paint. But this time it is going to be couple of months.

First yes I would like a timing light let me know how much and we can work out a time to meet up, Secondly I have no clue where greensboro is but I'm assuming its not very close to me. Thirdly before you started in on your timing banter, my timing was turned down a tad a few months ago but now that I took the nitrous off I would like to advance it, hence why I was wondering if going above stock makes a difference. But thanks to everyone else who actually gave me some advice.

Bumping the timing will definitely be noticeable!
Not trying to be a smart ass but you live in Charlotte and don't know where Greensboro is??
Also, if you've got something for silver91hatch, bring your LX action my way! I've just got a GT with stock E7's and an alternator bearing going out that will run for $ :thumbsup1:
PS: I live in ATL but my car is in Greensboro (an hour and a half from you)

Yeaaaaah a little head gasket. Fixed though.
You're right, the car stays at my families shop in Greensboro. I guess I could keep it at my house in Raleigh or bring it to my place in Atlanta, but there's no reason to.
My car dyno'd weak. It's still a slow street car. Bring the spray. :hi:

Am I confused or is somebody else confused. I live N Charlotte, where did Greensboro come from. We can meet up this week if you want. Send me a PM. Sorry about the banter, but it was 1:00 in the morning. Little delirious! All in good fun.

I see where the confusion came in. 91silverhatch is in Greensboro and it also looks like you got me confused w/5.slo. Sounds like a grudge match between UDLose and 5.SLO. Maybe we can put in the grudge match forum that looks like it has never, never ever ever been used. signed - The Instigator :lol1:
