My exhast is needing to be upgraded since i got it. Currently i have Borla xr-1's turned down. Everything else is stock. I want a set of bbk full length ceramic headers and an h pipe. Or would somebody suggest something else. What is the difference in headers with sound, horsepower, etc. The motor is stock right now but plan to get over 300hp when im done.

I use BBK ceramic coated long tubes on my car with a matching BBK offroad H pipe. I think my car sounds good, and it definitely makes power. I use a 3 inch Magnaflow dumped catback BTW... I would think that your intended setup would sound KILLER !

You can expect around a 15hp imcrease with the L/T's over stock, but once your mods become more serious the actual help they're giving you will be larger. Glad to hear that you waited to go straight to L/T's. I've always felt that shorty headers are a waste of time/money for the potential compared to the stock manifolds...

A real easy fix is get close and personal... Talk to as many owners that you can and hear their ride because we all have different motives. Here is an example and maybe "Bones" can start compiling a thread of sight and sounds of member rides. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42znv88ITxQ

Better yet there is already a site just for what you are asking as far as sound goes.....

not sure if this loaded all the way. tried to load it from work but it got hung up halfway through and i can't view streaming vids to verify so hopefully it's good enough.

in car of my coupe with 1 5/8" BBK Longtubes, BBK shorty Hpipe, and flowmaster w/o tail pipes.

Do you think i will need to wrap the headers and have some o2 sensor extension wires?

You won't have to wrap the tubes/headers, but will need o2 extensions.

I HATE header wrap ! I've seen firsthand the effects of some on a buddies car after a short period of street driving. When we pulled the wrap off to do some work, you wouldn't believe the corrosion we found ! Thats why I alwats recommend ceramic coated headers. They stay looking good for a LOOOOONG time !

^+1 header wrap is a horrible idea. shits a pain in the ass and pointless on our cars

I actually asked the same questions and found a set that NOVA was willing to part with. I found on corral.net a guy that had 1 3/4 bbk LT's with matching H pipe and flows with 2.5" pipes for sale for 350. I picked them up and they are behind me right now. Still haven't put them on the car...need to. See if NOVA still has them and wants to part with them.
