I'm trying to figure out what is the widest tire you can run on the Turbine wheel? Might be looking at getting a pair of drag radials and want to see how big can I go?

Thanks in advance.................

275s fit perfect on my lowered 87 gt with 15"turbines

With them being a 7" wide wheel. I wouldn't go any wider then a 265 on the turbines.

I dont even know if Nitto or the others make a DR in 15 at 265 either...You might have to make due with a 245 or 255, but I agree and would also not run anything bigger on the stock rim than a 265 in that case.

I have 275/60/15's under mine now and it wants to scrub a bit around corners. I'm going to have my fenders rolled next week. I can tell you from looking up similar information it varies from car to car for some reason.

Fitting and working properly are two different things.

My thoughts EXACTLY ! You can actually force the footprint into a smaller shape, and actually wind up with less contact patch than you would if you ran 245/255's instead. I've made the mistake myself...

I ran the 265's on that same wheel on my 1st 90GTvert with a 235 on the front. Never a problem at all on the stock height

seems to work just fine for him, he has made a pretty good number of passes out of them. And he hooks. :yes1:

But i do see were u and skip are comming from. all im sayin is they will fit, and they will work. Just air down the tires and there u go
