Had a bad night last night.. Totaled my 89' vert. accelerator stuck and car slammed into a tree..

Heads ok. had a severe concussion and just sore all over but I was very lucky. no seatbelt on. I definately learned my lesson. the cage definately came in handy though. I know a few people I can get a shell from now I am just waiting on insurance

Dang John glad your ok. Cars can be replaced but you can't. Looks like the SEFB sticker held up though!!! Let us know if you need anything

Hate to see that man.............I know of an 89 vert you might be able to buy cheap....it needs a front clip,but the frame is straight. Let me know and Ill ask about it.....

We've all been there, hood flew up on mine and went off a hill into trees at 75
The most important thing is you're here, no serious injuries, stangs replaceable and probably a lot of it is "salvageable" :thumbsup1:

That sucks! Glad you are OK though. Sounds like you are going to buy another shell and get the car back from the insurance company? Now you rebuild it however you want this time.

I am definately buying the car back.. only problem is insurance is not wanting to do anything as far as replaceing the car with one that is in as good of shape as the one I had.. It could be a long process.

sorry to hear about your ride, glad your ok.
The same thing happened to me with a rally car I was restoring for a year, I had it on the road for 2 weeks and the throttle cable stuck.
Is there anything I can do to my gt to prevent this from happening?

That don't really have to replace it, they only have to give you the money you agree upon. Minus the deductible, and buying the car back.

Sorry to hear that man i had the throttle hang on me at 130 in the 03 cobra that Cobra_4 use to own i thought i was done i just pushed the clutch in and hoped she didnt blow up but good to know your ok.
