Steeda makes a tool thats supposed to be pretty nice... never used it.
i always drill out the rubber around the metal sleeve as much as i can... usually 8-10 holes around the sleeve... get it good an loose... then take a big hammer to it....working it out evenly. might have to get a big punch for the last few inches to keep from damaging the housing.
usually doesnt take but a few minutes to get both out.
now if the rear is still in the car!?!?!
THATS A DIFFERENT STORY! :lol1:

I am not going to remove the original sleeves. just the original rubber bushings. I'm going to put these http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performance-Products/555/60520/10002/-1?parentProductId=753643 in. and yes the rear is still attached to the car.

Take a good sharpe 1/4in drill bit and drill all the way through the rubber in one spot.Hold the drill tight.Once you drill all the way through loosen up on the drill and let it run all the way around the bushing. After it makes the first pass start pulling it out easy as it runs around the bushing and it will pull the bushing out and clean the inside of the metal sleeve in one shot.takes about 30 seconds per bushing.

Dunno if you have the rearend out of the car, but I know I just light them on fire, and have a few beers while they burn out. lol

I bought the Maximum Motorsports tool. Works great even if the rear is still installed.

I used a propane torch years ago. Once the shell gets hot enough, the bushing just melts right out - almost shoots out.
