I drove out to charlotte today to pick up the LTs H pipe flows and tips, met up with the guy and exchanged parts for cash. Happy day. Oddly enough, on my way to work the heater hose popped loose from the manifold and pissed coolant everywhere. I stopped at the next gas station (somewhere in charlotte) and picked up a gallon of coolant. Topped it off and got back on the road. The temp gauge kept rising and their was no heat in the Vic. I pulled over again and freaked out because here I was stuck in charlotte and had to be at work at 5 this evening (330pm). So I get on the side of 85 and check the coolant level. As soon as I cracked open the cap it looked like the nesquick rabbit puked all over the place. Rust filled water/coolant...I had apparently forgotten to burp the system. It took 2 gallons of coolant and water. I jumped in the car and she was fine. Needless to say, I clocked in to work at 508pm. Hauling ass was an understatment. But I got my exhaust. Now, I need to get them on.

I did. I topped off the coolant the first time, not realizing that the system needed to be burped. When I pulled over, the second time, was when I burped it. Filled the thing back up and I was off and running. I feel a tech day coming up soon...headers...mmmmm.

That was great... glad it was nothing serious to leave you stranded.

Glad you got home ok. And I guess that was a lesson learned. When you get enough coolent in to start it up and let it run a little while and refill.
Hope you get your new parts on in time to go to Columbia Sat. Long time no see!
Glenn:)
