I am wondering everybodies thoughts on the best set of control arms upper/lower for the fox?? I went a 8.81 driving my car out of the hole and I know with tires and some suspension work it will improve a lot. I am going to run a rear sway bar and would like a decently nice/quiet ride but we all know driveablitiy goes away with performance, but the steeda spring ride like a 4 horse wagon. I will be swaping in a 4 lug disc 8.8 soon and I want to go ahead and swap it all at once, gear, brakes and control arms.

I also run the UPR double adjustable uppers, but I use the Granatelli adjustable spring perch lowers because they allow me to manipulate ride height without altering pinion angle, and the UPR's weren't available with that feature. The Granatelli's were cheap to boot, and with the Eibach drag launch kit, Nitto 275 DR's, 70/30's and 50/50's as well as frame connectors and safety loop, it's all tied in and works well together I think...

Yeah I do see a lot of UPR stuff and Hotchkis too. I'm just looking right now getting stuff together and swap it all at once. I am thinking of control arms upper and lower, subframe connectors(welded), gears, disc brakes and draglites with drag radials all at once. Should pick up a good bit.

Also to throw this in. What the cruise RPM with 4.10's?? Say 70mph with ponies and street tires with a T5 in 5th??

I'd venture to guess somewhere around 2600rpm, but I haven't really looked to be honest...

X2 :yes1: But remember tire height has a lot to factor into the rpm's also.

Very true right there. I was only speaking for what I see with an O/D of 26 inches and a .68 5th gear in the tranny with 3.73's. Changing any of those variables will net you a difference of course, and I'm not even totally sure thats exactly where its at on my car either LOL ! :thumbsup1:

I had 4.30's with the same ratio 5th gear.I broke 17 Custom built T5's.I went to a Tremic TKO after the 17th T5.Cruisin @ 70mph,Put me @ 2900 RPM.

I went with the BBK upper and lowers, and haven't had a problem. Only bad thing about them... non adjustable... but I mainly drive mine on the street so it wasn't an issue for me.

Depending on how much Horsepower/Torque you make @ The tire,Will also depend how long the control arm bushings are going to last.I went to spherical / Solid everything.I got tired of replacing bushings:thumbsdown1:Believe me:yes1:=It is nice not to worry about whats going on,Right before you make a pass down the track:thumbsup1:

be careful with those granatelli's they have been known to break in HALF on the newer cars and i know the only difference is the size of the bolt that connects to the body of the car...
UPR and Maximum Motorsports are the only two people id really trust.

Will do. I just wish the UPR's had the adjustable spring perch available. I could've stuck with one manufacturer...
I like the M/M's as well. :thumbsup1:

Hard to do when you're broke ! What all out of my brand new rear suspension would I still be able to keep ?

Hard to do when you're broke ! What all out of my brand new rear suspension would I still be able to keep ?The only thing you will remove is the factory / Lowering springs above the lower control arms.Which ever rear shock you are running,Get integrated into the rear coil over.I use Competition Engineering

Gotcha, so I pass along the Drag Launch springs/LCA's to another user, and go coil over utilizing my 50/50's. Whats that setup run cost wise, how streetable is it, and how will it ride/60ft compared to what I already have ?

i went with the steeda upper and lower alum control arms. although they are the non adj ones they have done well on my daily driver, and did a good job at the track. hooked as well as they could on street tires and pony rims.
