I got a 4.6 mach 1 here at the shop. It needs a new motor is there a difference between the mach 1 4.6 and a 4.6 gt?

big difference, the mach 1 is an aluminum 4 valve motor and the gt is a cast iron block 2 valve motor.

Just pick up a 4.6 out of a 96 GT. Only difference is the C/R, Nobody will ever notice................:lol1:

and make sure they if you happen to find another 32v, make sure it has the correct casting numbers and right heads. i have a 01 currently running 25,000 miles with a wrist pin tick and i purchased a 52,000 mile b swirl port headed mark VIII engine with intake runner controls.

i had a tread about this a while back and someone posted a article about the 32v 4.6 ill try to find it.

trying to find one that doest cost as much as half the car is almost impossible. :sad1:
