View Full Version : Anyone have this issue..one tire sticks out on the rear?
I bought the car about 4 months ago and put some big and littles on it. I noticed the drivers side tire wanted to scrub the inner body of the car a bit so I used a BFH and it was much better. After lowering the car in the rear lastnight I noticed it was scrubbing on the outer fender around curves. I took a close look tonight and the passenger side rear tire sticks out while the drivers side rear tire is inside the fenderwell. The backspacing of the wheel seems the same on both side and to my knowledge the car has not been wrecked. Any idea what could cause this? What do I need to do to fix it?

It's easy to double check the back spacing, so I would start there.
If it has adjustable upper control arms check to make sure they are the same length, that can throw it off if their not.
Lastly check the upper torque boxes to see they are flat against the chassis.
THis is all if your car isn't "tweaked" :thumbsup1:

What he said, most common problems according the corral also, I am trying to figure why my car is leaning as well (same side, strange), but the springs were cut by last owner so I need to do those first... Keep us posted on what you figure out :thumbsup1:

I have the same problem to the passenger side as well. My torque boxes are fine & have never been ripped. All the suspension under my car is new except for the sway bars. I have no other explanation other than large manufacturing tolerances.

Same here, same side, and another car never wrecked. I have a full Eibach Drag suspension, and quality upper/lower control arms, shocks and struts. I have considered on more than one occasion finding a good chassis shop that can check for straightness for me...

Check the upper Torque boxes very close...it takes just as little as 1/8 pulled out up there and you will have problems.
