TN Meet #3 in May

ok guys and gals, we had a kick ass #2 meet and i want to thank everyone for coming out that did. we have had two meets in east tn, which is around where most of the members are, but.. we also have some in middle tn. soo.... #3 is gonna be held in middle tn so that way it is closer for the middle tn crew to attend. the past two meets have been held the third sat of the months they were in so we will say May 21 will be the next meet, if another day in mind post up. Beerman has found two places to meet at and we need to decide which to meet at.

The first place is in Crossville TN, it's called the Still Water Grill. They advertise plenty of seating for groups and functions and also outside seating over looking the lake.

The next possibility is in Cookeville Tn, it's called Blue Water Grill at the Hurricane Marina, again on the water which I thought would be nice for warmer weather, again seating is available for groups. I'm trying to get 'em motiviated by having it a little closer!!!! I wanted to try and stop by on the way back Saturday but little man was tired and I was pretty pooped myself!:lol1: I'll give them both a call and see whats what with them and I'll check to see if maybe they have a Facebook page with some other picturs as well. I know one of them is a popular Marina there and should have plenty of area for a group shot in front of the lake!!!:yes1:

I've had ONE response so far. I'm gonna give the places a call tomorrow(I've been off work all week and i think I'm excited to get back to work to rest!) and see what they have, I'm thinking the Hurricane Marina is probably going to be the best bet. They have pictures up on FaceBook, you guys should check'em out.

I don't think a change of scenery would be a bad thing, here's the way I look at it. Pigeon forge is a tourist town for the most part, a lot of out of towners... And it will be really close to everyone getting out of school for the summer. Which would make it more crowded on the strip than it was last time. And plus it will give us a chance to scout for new members. That's my $0.02

Really guys? C'mon now, let's just be honest here 'cause we are all adults. Do the majority of us just not want to move the meet at all?

If this is the case we have to start considering traffic and parking during Pigeon Forges's most busiest times. If the traffic was bad last meet, this next one would be a Friggin' Nightmare!!!!

I agree with beerman, I think that it will throw some variety into the meets. Since this is still experimental on where we meet at and our first year of meets in tn. I think playing around with the locations some does the ground work and shows where the best place to settle on having meets for next year. Pigeon forge has worked out great the past two times. I'm interested to see if there is any other places that will be a good host town. I just wanna see the tn chapter get stronger and expand as we go along.

And give the carolina boys a run for their money on attendance. :taunt:

Third meet is still Crossville Drag strip. This Good Guys meet is sort of a mini meet for those that want to get together and go. Any and all are welcome. The majority of us are meeting up around 8:30 to 9:00 that morning. Come on up if you can!!!!:thumbsup1:

sooooooo.... we will resort back to our original plan of getting a bite to eat and going on a cruise. so we will probably go to one of the two places beerman found in crossville or cookville i believe. just thought i would let you all know
