I had the PRIVILEGE of meeting Clay Dixon today!

Earlier in the day (Sat, September 13th), I attended a small, local car show in the community of Pine Ridge...just a few miles off I-26 at the Hwy 321 exit. After an hour or so, I noticed a woman and very tiny child walking towards my direction. They both had shirts on which said something to the effect, "Pray for a miracle for Clay Dixon".

Before they passed, I couldn't help but comment and directed my comment towards the adult, asking..."What kind of a miracle are ya'll looking for?" She looked down at the child and said, "Well...YOU tell him". He in his tender young voice said, "I'm Clay and I need a miracle...I've got a brain tumor" He took his index finger on his right hand and began to trace an area on his head saying, "I've got a brain tumor up here".

I asked Clay if that was him momma & she replied that she was a neighbor friend. I asked as to when they found out about it, and of course was told just back in December.

I told Clay that Jesus can still perform miracles and asked, "Do you know Jesus". He smiled and said, "Yeah...and I know God too!" I told them that not only would I pray, but said hey...let's pray right now! The 3 of us bowed our heads and I asked for Clay's miracle that they were praying for...for encouragement, and the monies to helpl meet the family's needs.

We joked a bit together afterwards and I teased with Clay...MAN is he a tiny fellow, but his smile and attitude were HUGE! He let me know that he takes karate and we teased a bit about that...about him whoopin' up on me! :)

Car shows have charities they help fund, and the car show in Clay's behalf is only a minimal $10 pre-registration and $15 for the day of the show. I won't be able to attend, but if I was in the area I would right? BUT...their WEB SITE (www.pray4clay.com) will take your donations online to help the family duing this most difficult time.

I told Clay and his neighbor, that it was no coincidence that I met him today...rather divine appointment! I might not have walked away with the most trophies from the car show today, but I DID leave far more blessed than had I not gone! Pray 4 Clay!

When out to eat last night with our son & daughter-in-law, my daughter-in-law made mention of despicable thing this woman did on the 19th: http://www.wistv.com/global/story.asp?s=9040971

She also said (which is not in the article), that little Clay said, "I don't know why she took the money, cause everyone out there loves me" :) :)

...if you ever end up meeting this little guy, he'll put a Cheshire grin on your face...he's the cutest little guy you'll wanna meet! :)
