My son's in boot camp down at Parris Island ( Marines ) Got a letter from him the other day they ran two miles told them to drop and he droped on a fire ant hill got bit over 100 times ended up in Hospital.

We were in a place called "Al Mashab" nothing but desert until we got there

we were 17 miles from Kafji when all that went down. Comical. They had us all suited up in mop4 and lined up against the birm opposite the direction of fire. Myself and another e3 pointed this out to the OIC. A trip to the command tent later. the entire battalion was ordered to change direction.:lol1:

Gotta love it when some REMF ( or someone that maybe shoulda been ) really has the old head "inserted deeply" to make a bonehead call like that LOL ! I guess the closest we ever came to something along those lines was my disobeying a direct order to open fire on a hostile air contact that turned out to be a P-3 Orion LOL ! In the voice of Get Smart: Would-ya believe we missed it by that much ?!?! Pretty scary actually, but at least that bonehead actually apologized for it, I doubt anyone said anything nice to yall afterwords...:patriot:

he's ok :thumbsup1: he just said that the bites itch alot . hard to stand still in formation with an itch X100 that you can't scratch :patriot: that kind of dicipline could save his life someday.
