So yesterday I buttoned up the crown vic. Runnin' great. Then I start on the heater core in the stang. Started at 1230 finished at 530 with interior installed. Drive the car around for a little while. Heat is great...what can I say. I drove the car this morning and something didn't sound right. There was this squeaky noise when I took my foot of the clutch. It went a way when I pushed the clutch in. You've got to be kidding me?!?!? Sounds like an old washer on spin cycle just squeaking. I was told by the guy I bought this car from that he had replaced the clutch with a king cobra. So then why the hell is my throw out bearing squeaking and I haven't even put 100 miles on it since I bought the car? I swear man. I gotta get this car running right. I thought I was done for a little while, but nope gotta do something about it now. I just hope he was being honest with me when he said had replaced the clutch. BTW Bones what happened man?

Throw out bearing is dry....real common, when going to aftermarket clutches.....Basicly Cheap throw out bearing.....Nothing works like a quality ford part......Options here are pull tranny out and replace,or drive the heck out of it and deal with the noise.....once it gets bad enough,it may start sounding like a vortech.....However try this first....If the car still has the stock quadrant in it,push the pedal to the floor, and slide your foot off, alowing the pedal to "pop" out, this will adjust the clutch.....or if it has a replacment quadrant......fully "loosen" the tension on the cable and re0adjust it.......This may help, fix the problem:thumbsup1:

I haven't looked, but the guy told me it had and aftermarket quadrant. I'll try that. If nothing else...TOB will have to be addressed at a later time.
