Well to make a long story short, I purchased a laptop from a local chain store for my wife. A few days later, we open the laptop and the screen had a shattered. We didn't think much about it because I bought the extended warrenty with screen protection. The salesman pushed this one because it would cover everything. Well a call to the store's warrenty dept made us aware that it didn't cover busted screens. OUCH! So I then called HP and they said they couldn't do anything but fix it for $400. So I then called back the store manager and nicely described the situation. A few days later, they call and say they would just give me a new computer. I was really impressed. I told him from the beginning that it was our fault but he still helped us out. So I went in today and traded out the computer and upgraded to a newer model and a better unknown warrenty. Apparently the store was trained that the warrenty I purchased was the accidental damage version.
Anyway things worked out great. I just knew I was going to be buying a new screen or computer. It was a great experience and I will now buy all my stuff from them.
