I am starting to build myself a turbo motor, I already have the 351w block that I am wanting to stroke to a 408 but I am having some problems finding me a good kit. I am wanting to have about 650 to 700 rwhp with prob a 70 or 76 mm turbo on it I'm not sure yet. Could anyone give me the link or direct me to some stroker kits that I might could use thanks.

in not bulding a 408, but i'am building a 357w. im using the stock crank and probe h beams and probe srs pistons. im looking to make the power your looking for, probe told me when ordering the rods/pistons will support that power. as for the turbo my current 70mm will be replaced by a 76mm. as for your 408 kit, it depends on price if you want a cast or forged crank, h or i beams and your piston of choice. whats your budeget?

My budget isnt gonna be very tight cause I'm wanting to put the best stuff in it. It gonna be an on going build cause the motor in my car is fine and has only 38 thousand miles on it. I'm just gettin an idea of the stuff so I will know how much to save up. I plan on having it done this year though.

I was planning on getting a forged crank and I'm not sure which rods I will use but I am open for any suggestions and not dead locked on anything at the moment.

lol....I was away from computers most of the day today.

For 650-700rwhp combo it really doesn't take anything crazy.
Just your basic forged low compression rotating assembly will work fine. It's really personal preference on brands long as it's the good stuff.

Just a basic 357 with good heads/cam/intake B+G or Ponydown kit with a 76 will make that power easy...much less a stroker.
My stock bottom end with a little F303 cam,GT40Y alum heads and a 70mm makes right at 580. It could make more easy if the block wasn't an issue.

Oh ok I might just go with the 357 to save on my machine cost. Is there anything particular I need to get done to my block? I heard that if u shoot over 14 lbs of boost u need to have it o ringed is that true.

Don't have to. Just use good ARP head bolts or studs along with Cometic or MLS gaskets.

Just make sure the machine shop knows which gaskets you plan on using so they can leave the finish on the block right.

Oh ok my block is already 30 but I have to take it to get drilled and tapped for a roller cam should I still tell them about the head gasket so they can make the needed adjustments or what not

It sure couldn't hurt to ask them. Some of the gaskets like cometics are pretty finicky if the surfaces of the block and heads isn't correct.

I would do it but it would take me a little to get the money up I was planning on getting my bottom end built then parting my procharged 306 out to finish the rest of the motor
