I just got through with wiring my car and now my air bag light is on all the time and I don't know why. Also, now my foglights will not come on, nor will my heater box come on when I turn it on. I don't know what is going on and if any of you have any suggsetions that would be great. I have checked all the fuses and they were all good.

Check the tubes behind the controls for the heater they will come off usually when people put in a new stereo system. As for the airbag try a quick disconnect from the battery but it might take a code reset

See if all the affected problem share a common ground.

Also pull codes on the airbag system, its either the bag, module, clock spring, etc. Mine was on b/c the horn was unplugged. If the horn works you have ruled out the clock spring and the horn.

pick up a ford EVTM book on ebay. they are year specific, show all the wiring. and imclude troubleshooting trees.

Run some power to the horn and see if it work, if the horn itself is good, then 99% of the time its the clock spring, atleast for the horn/airbag concern.

This might be a stupid question but what is the clock spring and where is it located at and if this is what is wrong with it where do I get one at.

Clock Spring:
Where it is, between the steering wheel and the steering column
What it does, it allows the contacts to work when you turn the wheel(Cruise, horn, Airbag)
Where to get one, ??? LRS ??? CJ ??? Mustangs Unlimited ??? Maybe...

+1 on the common ground. I am ashamed to say I chased a wiring problem for several days and what fixed it was plugging up the computer ground on the drivers side fender behind the battery. Bad grounds will drive you crazy, b/c the comp sends ground signal to various equipment on our cars, a bad or non existent ground will make you think that you have bad parts.
