I never knew there was such a thing? Looks pretty weak compared to Mustang Week! :lol1:

I kinda wish I was going down early now :deal:

I just posted that link on my wife's Facebook wall and asked her if she wanted to go a few days sooner for an early lunch.

They've been doing it for several years. Just no turnout anything like MW.

I have freinds that are part of the F-Bods get togethers, that always tell me about all the heavy drama. Always sounds to me like the sewing circles. :sad1:

I have owned my F-bodies in my life, more than mustangs, but not by much. I believe the mustang has pretty much smoked the f-body in the pony car wars, in terms of popularity & sales. Heck, mustangs ran the f-body out of comission for a few years and the firebirds into extinction. Trans Ams are my all time favorite cars, & I love Pontiacs. The mustang has replaced the '57 chevy as the car to modify, and rightly so. GM's are a fractured group. Its not even funny how many more parts, magazines & aftermarket support there are for stangs vs f-bodies. Its the main reason I went back to a stang. NASA has a mustang vs camaro/firebird challenge. Go see a race, its basically a mustang race with some f-bodies sprinkled in. It does not surprise me that camaro week is weak. Ha, they should rename it camaro weak ! :lol1:

I found out why the turn out is so light. It seems they have relocated the event................

Why's everybody got hate on fbodys?? The club that has taken over and host the fbody beach bash is late model motorsports which has as many mustangs as it does camaros. The fbody beach bash completly died 2 years ago at which time the club decided to try an revive it. Last year was a slow start this year was better. They had sponsors and managed to rent darlinton drag strip thurs night and myrtle beach speedway on Friday and rented the mall at murrels inlet for the show Saturday. We had nice custom made trophies and etc.... well over 100 cars in the show. While its no mustang week its a work in progress and will build and be bettter year to year. Already making plans for next year with bigger events and tryin to bring this show back. Yes I own an fbody (01 trans am ws6 with 383 stroker ls1, nitrousm and a stalled auto) but I also own a 95 mustang I love em both

I think I'd like to go down a few days early next year to check it out honestly. I was told they race on the Speedway and I just read about it.

An exhaust competition too? I think that would be fun for Mustang Week.

Yea drag race at darlington on thurs then fri autox at speedway and make laps around track and also have a street race hand drop style elimination drag race on back straight. Also at speedway is burnout competition and exhaust competition
