Concord, NC Meet for February (2/19/11)

Our normal meet date is the 4th Saturday of the month, however the Georgia "Redemption" Drag Race is that day and many SEFB members plan to attend. As a result we're pushing the Concord meet up one week to the 19th.

Why: Because getting the cars out and hanging with friends(old and new) is what it's all about...I don't care what the Hokie Pokie says!!! :bat:

Less than 2 weeks away so check your calendar and RSVP here so we can get a rough headcount for the restaurant.

How close is this place to the IKEA up there? My wife has been wanting to go for quite some time. My Fox won't be ready by then, but perhaps I can talk her into letting me hire a babysitter for the day and driving up in her Bullitt and going to the IKEA, too. It might make a good late Valentine's Day outing.

IKEA is about 3 exits south of the QS&L exit(Bruton Smith Blvd)...you can be there in less than 10mins. If you can't sell that to her then it's time to hang up your polyester suit!! ;)

My wife is not interested in a trip to Charlotte trip that day because of too much other stuff going on. She says she doesn't mind if I go though. I'm strongly considering making the trip, but it would likely be in her 2001 Bullitt since I don't think there's any way my car is going to be road ready by then.

There was billy and darren have seen it after I pulled motor, I'm pushing the coupe though. Dropping heads off Friday gotta wait a month for them though. It will eventually make a future meet.

I don't think I'm going to make it this time. The Bullitt is filthy and I'm not going to have time to clean it. It literally has not been washed since the day before leaving for Mustang Week 2010. I also don't want to put the miles on it (it's getting up there...see picture below).

I'd rather wait until next month and see if I can't get there in my Fox. I'm taking Friday night off of work, and that will give me most of the day Saturday to work on my car instead of just the few hours each day that I've been getting while working night shift.

Ok homies...unfortunately I have too much family stuff going on tomorrow to make it, but I've called QS&L and told them we have about 20-25 folks for a 1pm sit down. I also mentioned that we need more than one waitress this time. "Snookie" did a decent job on the serving part, but checkout was horrible. The guy assured me they'll have at least two waitresses for our group, so make sure they do when you walk in! :bat:
