My family really needs prayer, most specificly my 31 yr old sister. Yesterday was her birthday. She was committed to a Montgomery area psych ward for evaluation after attempting to take her life, being brught to the ER and then breaking out of the ER supposedly to try again. She has two beautiful little girls to live for but it is always very tough on her this time of year. About 13 years ago our cousin Jason (who was very close to my sister) took his own life two days before my sis birthday. What I am praying for is that the ward she is in will be able to help her. She now has a court order for her evaluation but nobody knows what she will do in 72 hrs.

This is such a deeply personal issue that I struggled to share it with the SEFB family. But I truely believe there really are people in this family that actually pray. Please, even if it has been a while since you last talked to God, pray for my little sister Christy.

Prayers sent!! A few years ago my sister had been missing for about 5 days. We met with our pastor after church to pray for her safe return and less than two hours later she was sitting on my parents couch! I'm a firm believer that pryer is a humans single most powerfull tool.

Thank you all. I am trying to get my head right. I took today off because i have to be able to concentrate in my line of work. NO visitors or phone calls to my sis are allowed during the next few days while they evaluate. Time spent right now cryin and prayin.

When I was just a little boy my Mom gave me a strict order when she brought my sister home from the hospital. It was my job as the older brother to protect her and Protect her I did.... there are a LOT of fellas back home that got to know me VERY well because of my little sister. I left her and my family when i was 17 to go off to college up here in SC. I never moved back. Christy who was 13 when i left took a very different path in life. We were very close until that path interupted our ability to converse civily. No matter what path she has taken it will never change the fact that she is my sister. Tough love is very tough on those expressing it as well as those on the receiving end. It hurts because the one thing i could never protect her from was/is herself. I have always been there when it really counts but have put up a hard nosed attitude on the outside towrds her while I cried like a big ole blubbering baby on the inside. i Love her dearly.... but refuse to Enable her....

I am not a deeply religious person though I did go to church every Sunday as a child. Over the years I have strayed from God and don't live my life like I should. That being said I usually reserve my conversations with God for those really trying times in my life. Today I will make an exception and pray for your sister and your family. I did not say this for any other reason, but to acknowledge that I consider you a good friend. We don't talk that much and I don't really know you all that well, but I know you are a good man, and sometimes even the worst of times bring out the best in others. Tonight that happened Leo. A little update. Christy went before a judge in Montgomery on Wed morning after a quick eval. The judge ordered a 180 day out patient treatment after she admitted to fibbing about the amount of prescription she took before being taken to the hospital. So far all seems to be good
