Way to bring in the new year.....

If things are gonna go this way for me, then imma be pissed off ALOT in 09. My **** starter just went out, so i get to bring in the new year working on my car. :angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::thumbsdown1: That among other things, man this is gonna suck......:sad1:

What's a hundred bucks or so...that aint nuthin' for you Croft :) Sounds like you might have been home though when it went out? What's a real bummer is had it gone out when you were out of pocket and had to have the car towed or worked on at an alternate location.

Sucks, but a starter is just a minor thing. Just be glad it wasn't something worse.

Why would he be stuck if the stater went, he has a 5 speed and can push start it with a bad starter.:yes1:

Yea, we gonna get up early tom and take it out, and take a couple Jason (justins brother, my car is at his house) starters he has laying around until i can afford to get a new one. Im just glad mine is a 93 so its the small starter, im just kinda bumed cuz i hate when stuff like this happens, lucky enough i have a car to drive until tom when mine gets fixed. :thumbsup1:

Meaning, not necessarily the STARTER, but any "issue" that would leave you stranded. I had a car ('85 Toyota Cressida) that was pushed more then it ran on it's own during it's final days :) Had the fuel pump go out on me twice and THOSE suckers are expensive to replace. We found a guy who was a mechanic for 20+ yrs at the Toyota d'ship when we lived in Augusta, Georgia who moonlighted at his house...there were NUMEROUS times I ended up pushin' that thing to his house :)

Cant say ive done that, my 85' ranger and my car have been pretty faitful to me thank god..... My ranger has over heated on me a couple times, and my car has done me in twice, ounce with the alt, and now with the starter.................

Well we finally got the **** starter off, and that thing was a *****!!!!!!!!! It wasent a mini starter like is supose to be on my car, it was one of those big mofo's. Hell i did a starter change and weight reduction all in one shot. haha. But i got pics of the old starter, its screwed, ill try and get them up some time tonite. Everything in side was torn all to hell, the brushes everything. So luckly jason had a starter in the back of his truck that worked, so we just poped that in for the time being.

Whats really weird is, i had a single wire in there, so i had to run another wire to the solenoid. its weird that i didnt have it there????? I guess the guy i bought it from changed the factory harness and put it from like a 92 and below or something.....

Or you car could have been an early built 93. On the drivers door sticker, what month was yours built in?
