HELP!! I'm a dead man - my wife is gonna kill me

So we're moving into a new house that doesn't have a microwave. Picked up a new over-the-range unit from lowe's last night. With my wife's help I installed it tonight. Everything was going great until I was tightening the last screw. I was doing it the old fashioned way since my Dewalt was too big to fit into the cabinet above. My hand started to cramp so I decided to climb up on the counter to get at it from a better angle. Here is where I went stupid. I didn't think about the stove being a glass cooktop & put my knee down on it. CRRRAAAACCCKKKK!!!! OOOPS!! My wife walks away in disgust. :bat: Cheapest replacement glass i've found is 200 bucks.:headbang: Ouchie!! I should've just payed the 140 bucks for Lowe's to install it. It would've been cheaper. There goes any play money for awhile.

you just have to remind her now all the money you have saved by doing other things yourself instead of paying for it. hey things like that happen it is part of life. it will get better. :thumbsup1:

I didn't buy the range, it was already in the house. The new microwave is fine though.

UPDATE!!

She got revenge for breaking her cooktop!!!

She says it was an accident, but, I'm not sure I believe her. Last night after we loaded up the trailer with stuff from the old house, we went to get supper at Applebee's. On the way to the truck after supper, she was playin that game where you kick the person in the butt you are walking beside. I was pickin on her about not being able to do it without breaking her stride & that I can. So I did, problem was is that she kicked up at the same time & our legs got tangled up. I hit the asphalt & twisted my right angle. My kick drum ankle at that! :eek2: It hurts like crazy & is swollen pretty bad. I finally talked myself into going to the doctor this afternoon. The doc examined my ankle & then took some x-rays. Thank God its not broken, its only sprained. I'm just glad we've got a little time off until our next tour. Anyway, we go home & I plop down onto the couch. i felt like such a bad husband watching my wife unload a fully loaded 6x12 trailer all by herself :hi:

So she still says it was an accident, but, we all know that it was revenge lol

Oh yeah, the new top for the stove came in today. Too bad i can't walk without crutches so I cant put it in hahaha :biglaugh:
