Steering Rack

Does anyone know if there is a good repair kit for a Factory Rack and Pinion? Mine has blown a seal or something i pulled it of the trailer in to the shop and hello, P/S leak it is on the right side comming from the boot to rack joint. I would like to replace it with new but money is an issue as always.

Ok how about a slightly used good condition power rack or manual rack? Does anybody have one of those up for sell?

Hey bud........Dunno how much $$ you wanna spend but when I checked on one almost 2 yrs ago Pepboys had the rack dirt cheap.....reman for less than $100.00 bucks........

I forgot about Pep Boys I know i called Advance today and they have one for like 80-100$ dependingonif it is a TRW or Ford. I will have to look at mine and see which one I will need. I just do not want to have to do it twice. I would like to get OE new but that is serious money and I do not know anything about aftermarket racks.

I have the same issue and may have a line on some new racks. I'll let you know what I can get asap.

Must be something bout that right side..LOL The 87 has the same problem. Been going though a quart of fluid every two three days. Gonna replace it Friday. Had a fellow SEFB member nice enough to give me a used factory rack.

Both mine leak left side... But they are both 91's...

Yeah this leak is pretty bad i think the seals just dried out, from sitting to long.
