Well, I bought the stang knowing it had a bad heater core. I went to ford and purchased a new one. I've looked over the install from Mustang Monthly and the only thing I see different is that I don't have ac installed on mine. So all and all, it looks to be a pretty cut and dry install. Any advice from some of the seasoned guys on here?
My 96 cvpi has been getting coolant on the first plug closest to the alternator. I believe its due to my non PI intake w/o the revised aluminum crossover tube or it's just time to replace the gaskets. Is there anything else that it could be? Car has never overheated. There is one pin hole crack in the xover tube but that's it. I put some JB weld on it and that has been working pretty well. I'll be replacing the gaskets tomorrow and hopefully will be able to get started on the heater core on the Stang. Thanks fore everyone's input.

On your CV.....if there is a pinhole on the crossover area behind the alternator and it is all plastic.......it will get worse.....you'll need to replace the intake manifold when its all said and done.

get as much help as you can. once you get it done you wanna kick a ford enginer in the balls but the heat sure feels good. most of these guys have alot of experiance and can do it quickly, and if someone like me who has never done it can do it with minimum tools and just pics of the web, anyone can.

Word bro. Glad to see you. Haven't seen or heard from you since you moved. Yeah I'm sure I can do it. If I can pull the heads and rebuild them (from a Mitsu 3000GT) I think I can handle a heater core. Any help would be great. Anyone that remembers the Fox I had when I was in the UMC remembers I know what I'm doing...or at least I act like it.:lol1:

Bones man I was just playing follow the leader...
Baby needs her bottle. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. I've got a lead on a 306 mexico block for 400. Thinking about it. I went to Ford today (D&D) and they said that the heater core was on back order nationally. I recalled that they told me that the Lincoln Mercury dealer here in Gville had one in stock...back order you say...intriguing. I told them either get me that heater core or give me my money back and I'll drive to Congoree Rd and get it myself. Idiota e stupido Puntas!

I started at 1230 and finished at 530 interior and all. The heat works great, but still for some reason my windows are just fogging up. Mainly the dri and pass side. Also a little in the top corners of the windshield. Any clues to why this is going on?
