Getting ready to do a black interior swap, lucked out and found a 93gt at the local pickn pull with black interior, and got most of it. Some parts i am going to paint black. I also ordered a set of black sport seats from summit, they are supposed to be here today

Here are some before pics, i will post more as i get it together.

i adapted the stock brackets to the seats. you have to drill new holes in the seat track where it mounts to the seat, and you have to open up the holes that go through the floor a little bit. it takes a little while to get it exactly right!

I have everything to make it black except the dash and headliner.

Headliner im going to recover with material from a fabric store.

Dash i may leave it and see if i like it stock, since my dash is black/maroon
if i dont like it i will paint it with duplicolor interior paint

if you dye the dash do the SEM black interior dye. thats what i used on my car and it turned out GREAT for a spray can. it looks just like a new interior.

Can't wait to see it all together. I'll have to stop buy and sit in it to decide if I want some corbeaus or save some money and pick some of these up

Got the interior done for the most part, I have decided to paint the center console, because i had to paint the arm rest delete and ash tray door black, now the console looks faded, but i will have to wait for better weather. still need to wire/install dome light.

I will probably end up painting the dash also, but i might just paint the glove box and panel under the steering wheel and lower section of the dash and leave the red in the middle, not sure yet.

Just snapped a few pics, i still have to vacuum and black majic everything.

Adapting the seats was easy, all i did was re-drill the factory sliders, then they bolted rite in.

The headliner, i just bought some black foam back material and glued it to the back board, it turned out pretty well.

if the console is oem black consider trying some good protectant before you go through the trouble of painting. mine was very dingy pale looking till i did that. seems the black is much more prone to looking faded w/o that stuff.

Yea, im gonna see how the hatch area responds to the protectant.
if it turns out nice, thats what i will do.

I have some black front seat belts, just gotta find some rears. then i can get rid of the red straps

Did a little more work and cleaned and vaccum'd everything.

I went ahead and painted the center console bc it was faded, fixed my ash tray door, painted the glove box, piece under steering wheel, and very ends of dash.

I found a simple free way to fix the ash tray door. If you take the upper console lid off, look a the ash tray door it has 2 arms that it hinge on.
one has a peg on the arm where it pivots, the other has a hole. I found a small self tapping screw that was a lil bigger than the hole. screw it in tight through the hole and into the console plastic, the screw will end up protruding through where the cigarette lighter is. since the screw is tight it will keep tention on the ash tray door arm, and it will stay shut. you could also use a small bolt and nut.

First pic is before when the glove box and piece under steering are still red.
last few are after paint and cleaning
