How would they react on the front of a Fox?

Ride?
Handling?

As a rule of thumb, handling characteristics should be better from a straight rate spring. Have no back to back experience, but the ride quality of my straight-rate coil overs are superior to the stock location springs even though it is set up fairly stiff as far as wheel rates go.
