I seen this in mag articles but never seen one. you know the bag you put in one of the rear coils. what is it needed for and what side do you put on and how do you keep air in it . does it work?
not sure if this is what youre talking about but i have drag bag suspension you pump up the airbags through a nipple like a tire mines in the trunk...its made for when you launch if you pay attention the car tends to lean to one side...it helps to level it out.. also it makes for a smoother ride in my opinion:thumbsup1: hope thise helps

Thats it.
Stock or nearly stock and you're not going to be needing one. Shoot, even a mildly build car don't need one. Of course when it's needed is a matter of opinion.
thats what i figured she was talking about its pretty cool to have though you can def tell a difference on the launch

I believe it helps with hard launches as in drag racing, when the car wants to twist - putting heavy load (compressing the suspension) on the right rear and lightening the load (lifting the suspension) on the left rear. The air bag (when installed in the right rear spring) is supposed to make it more difficult to compress the right rear suspension, keeping the car more level and allowing the car to plant the power more evenly on both rear tires.

My opinion is if you at the point that you need something then install an anti roll bar.The air bag system doesn't work that well.

my car twists up on launch. i have the eibach drag springs in the rear with the airbag. i'll let you know this spring how it works.
anti-roll bar is the ticket tho. air bag is just a bandaide type thing.

The bag is a good thing to use on a street car that sees some track time. With the bag you still run your stock rear sway bar and which ever coil springs you have. Then when your at the track you pump it up to help with straighter launches. You can play with air pressures til it's just right. Then let all the air out and drive home. Very useful if you go to the track with your front sway bar removed and your on slicks.
The anti roll bar is the best for straight launches. However it's not that great for an everyday street car.
So to answer your question, if you do more street then track and your car tends to pull up hard on the left front wheel, then use a bag. If it's more of a track car go with rear coilovers and a nice anti roll bar

I have used tons of them on customers cars and my own. if you are running full exhaust and cant use an anti roll bar then these are the next best thing. They go in the passenger side spring. their 2 main benefits in my opinion is they help reduce twist up on a hard launch and they help to keep your fender lip from digging into the side of you nice expensive tires! :3gears:

So they're for good launch at the drags then. Not needed on the steet then. Thanks Guys!

for a street car you put quick disconnects on the roll bar and there are roll bars out there that will work with tailpipes:thumbsup1:

Dont want to jack the thread - BUT , you bring up a good point -
whenever I go over a bump or ditch in the road my tire (a 275/40R17) hits the fender lip . . .this is even after I rolled the inner fender lip. Will an air bag (maybee 1 in each side) help this??
