Went to the x-mas get together today. Everything was fine and a great time. Then on the way home my fuel pump goes out. Just my luck

Welcome to the club.:( My tranny took a crap this week,:angry: so I didn't even get to make the Christmas party.:thumbsdown1:

Man that sucks about your fuel pump......you have a nice looking coupe BTW. Hope you get it fixed soon!

Thanks man have went without alot of things to get that car. Stopped racing karts and my other hobbies.But i guess its worth it.

sorry to hear about the fuel pump. i didnt get to make it myself. i got up and ready this morning and got ready to take off and my switch for my electric fan went bad. i didn't figure it would be a good idea to drive it two hours with no fan. oh well maybe next time. glad ya'll had a good time though

A stock pump is 125$ that sucks.When its your dd car

yea it sucks i didnt get to make it. i was testing everything u know checkin oil, tranny fluid, all electrics to make sure it all worked for the drive and the fan wouldn't come on. i traced it back to the switch so it should be an easy fix.. yea that does suck when it is ur dd . but thats a risk i guess u have to take

Dang bro, sorry to hear bout the fuel pump. Do yourself a favor and get a Walbro/BBK 225 lph pump http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=BBK%2D1607&N=700+4294836951+115&autoview=sku
$129 from Summit.
Just hope your luck isn't like mine...Every time I've had a pump go out was right after filling the tank up.:angry:

**** man, your luck is like mine. But if you are careful you can drop the tank and not loose much fuel. I did one here in the drive way with no help once.

Yea i did on my old 89 hatch when i changed it to v8 carbed from 4 banger. Thanks for the link im getting that one. Nice to meet all of ya'll today.

haha i like stuff like that use to could pull my whole motor and trans have it on the ground. Then turn around and have it running in the car in 2 to 1 1/2 hours or less

yea i can kick the tank and it will work for about 30sec and cut off.

This AOD isn't getting fixed,:nonono1: a different AOD is going in, in it's place.:yes1: Along with some other goodies at the same time.:p

I can turn the key on a few times and it does fine. Then drive around for a few and it starts cutting back. Can do it all over again and its fine. But then it does the samething over again.

got it taken car of the dumbass at the auto parts start didnt give me a new sock filter said i didnt need it.And good ole me didnt put one on.Talked to another guy said i needed to put one on.So i did and everything is running fine now
