Adding Guages/Stupid Question

When I add aftermarket guages such as Auto Meter Water Temp. and Oil Press. will they render the factory oners in operable? I have never installed aftermarket guages in any of my Foxes. Do I use existing sensors?

I know Autometer makes a sensor for the temp that is just for their gauge (They also make sensor for the factory gauge) make sure you get the sensor for the Autometer gauge. I had a plug in my lower intake so I just added a sensor there and kept both gauges working. I am not sure on the oil press. Mine already had the gauges installed and my factory oil gauge doesn't work, so probably a special one for that too. Good luck with the install:thumbsup1:

Thanks, I'll look at it tomorrow. That's what I want. I know it sounds weird, but I would like the factory ones to still work if possible. I just found my A/C Gauge cage from back in 1998 and felt like installing it in my 90 DD. Now I have to decide which guages to go with.

You can get a T fitting to install the oil pressure guage with the factory sender. On the temp guage, if you have a factory lower you will lose you factory guage, if you have an aftermarket lower intake there are unused ports available.
