I'm in the middle of the five lug swap and I can't get the dang spindle off. Do I just have to beat the cap out of it or what?
I've got all the nuts off, the bottom two studs are not willing to budge though.

need about a 5lb hammer and hit the spindle where it is slipped over the bolt. Becareful not to hit the bolt...I always leave the nut on,......... just start the nut back down on the bolt (don't tighten it) and hit good and then hit it about 5 times real hard...it will come loose

The way i undo the spindal from the ball joint is i keep the spindal atached to the strut and leave the spring in i lossen the cassle nut up till the top of the nut is above the stud then whack it with a 5lb sledge... the force of the spring pushes down on the a-arm and pops it free from the ball joint!

Get a BFH and knock the heck outta the spindle where the ball joint goes thru it. If that dont work then your gonna need a ball joint seperator.

If you have access to a Compressor and an Air Hammer it will make quick work of it with the right tools.

The hammer worked wonders! My phone was acting up so I couldn't post the success. Now I have to scrounge around the other garage to find a ball joint press to try and get this sucker changed so I can get this side put back together and then start the other side.... :yes1:
