Just wondering if a bigger ( 75mm ) throttle body would help or harm a completely stock speed density car...

It's not going to help it one bit, performance wise. The intake is the restriction. The speed density computer might not like either. No harder than it is to change, try it out...

wouldnt really help at this point, but certainly wont hurt either. Itll will help out once you start adding other modifications and such.

Intake opening isn't that big on the stock intake so there's no use.

Might want to re-think that statement.:yes1:

I've seen people do this alot and i all way's wondered why you would put a bigger T/B on a stock intake if its not going to help. My friend just bought a 88gt with a 70mm T/B and EGR spacer on a stock intake.

I would pick up an explorer intake and 65 mm throttle body, that way you could feel a difference

its gonna run a little ruff cause its gonna throw the computer for a loop...try it out, you might have to play with the timing a little. If all else fails just convert it to mass air.:yes1:

painting the valve covers can screw up a speed density car....lol....they dont like mods....MAF conversion is best.... then you can do whatever you want and the tuners cwill squeeze everything out of it they can

:yeahthat: :thumbsup1:

a 75mm t/b can't make the intake opening any bigger, so you are still getting the same amount of air flow. Of course now you have a massive lip to get that air nice and turbulent.

Get a new intake if you are gonna get a new t/b (I have a 70mm t/b on an explorer intake, it don't take much to get that intake to 70mm)
