Holy heck Im leaving for Mustang Week in ten days and my car isn't even close to being ready. Its at the body shop getting buffed right now, the radio shop is waiting on it for a cd and speaker install, then my mechanic is waiting on it for a aluminum radiator, new valve covers, charge the ac, new carpet, seats, rear seat delete(which I just ordered three minutes ago) and gauges. Not to mention I hadn't even began to think about cleaning the dang thing up yet. Anyone esle as unprepared as me?

Not much to do here.

Just going to change up the way my electric fan is wired. Just have it on low when the ignition is on,no high speed.
For the beach I'm changing it to a 3 relay setup that turns low on at 180,switches to high at 195 and back to low when it drops below 195. Never goes straight to high from a dead stop which caused the hi amp spikes with the Taurus and Lincoln fans. Should make the a/c work better too getting more air through the condenser.

Also have a set of camber/castor plates I've had for 2 years I'm finally going to put on.

you said it man. it was 100 here yesterday, and today. and the rest of the week is not much better. its to the point that yesterday i went to bed when i got home from work (6:30) and woke up at 2:00 am to work on it... it was still 90 degrees, and the mosquitoes were insane. NOT worth it:lol1:

gotta do an oil change, find & fix the annoying binding pop in the rear suspension, detail the snot outta the interior. No point in doing too much to the outside since the paint is shot.

Mine has been in the shop getting new intake gaskets and heater core hose (blew them 6/19/10), along with a new servo for cruise control installed (part was supposed to come last week but the order was never filled), newly painted AeroCatch locking hood pins need to be installed (the body shop slammed to the max with other Mustang Week clients. I still have to do a/c checks (it's going to be hotttt!!!! down there). Detailing and water spot removal from the windows. Other than that, I'm ready..Yeah right!

i dont even know if im gonna have a mustang there or not. hope to have the red coupe there, but maybe not.

TO DO LIST:
Buy plane ticket
Find hotel reservation

i dont know if im flying into MB or Columbia. I may be buying a diesel truck and driving that home. I may be towing the coupe to NJ so a guy from canada can buy it. I may just fly down and back and enjoy the cars and beer.

So not ready! I am starting to think there is a very real possibility that I will be in the truck! Transmission not in, (and broken now:angry:), pedals not in, ignition broke, steering column out, seats out, upper intake still off, door pins not in, hood not on, exhaust not on....probably lots of other smaller things. :sad1: And that's just so I can drive it, it's still not really show-off worthy. One day at a time. It would be easier if my boss would just send me my paycheck and not expect me to actually work!:lol1:

I have been 4 out of my 7yrs @ MW without a Mustang. Though it sucks, I knew my car[s] would not be ready and Id rather have something broke that I knew I could have done then BREAK and not know exactly what the problem was.

But heck, this will be my 3rd year in an Expedition:p

A/C????? Hell I don't have ANYTHING that remotely resembles a/c, heater, or defroster in my car. No switches. ducting, or plumbing left.

I've gotta get my other 2 tires put on the rear, and FINALLY put the interior trim pieces back in... I was too lazy to do it last year :lol1:, They've been out since 3/09... mainly because the car stays an hour and a half away from me and when I go to my parents, I don't feel like messing with it :lol1:

wow, yeah I got enough to do to be "ready".

top motor
drivers quarter window motor
that annoying starter issue
driver rear tire needs a patch (actually need four new ones)
needs a new top really...
a/c is still broke
needs paint
needs driver side turn signal bulb

I'll probably rig it up enough to bring up to M/B at least for Saturday. I don't know if I'm going to be able to have Thursday and Friday off work, we got slammed. Find out Sunday.

I still have to change the driver's side header gasket, replace the AC compressor, dryer, and orifice tube, charge the system, put the interior back together (including the stereo), and, if it comes in in time, install the Lightning MAF and retune it. Both of our cars need a good detailing too.

Well, I'm getting closer. Transmission is in, lower intake is in, some of the little stuff is done. Still got a ways to go, but I think I'm going to make it. It's not going to be nearly as nice as some of your rides, but I am hoping to have it on the road by the end of the day Saturday.(Optimistically sooner, but we'll see) That gives me a couple of days to check it out and make sure it is ready, the head down Thursday morning!:thumbsup1:
