I normaly do not share too many medical things with the group about my children but we need prayer. Heather has been fighting a low grade fever for a couple of days. we have been alternating motrin and tylenol to battle whatever is buggin her. Well about an half hour ago she spiked the highest temp i have ever personaly seen on a thermometer at 104. We called the Doc on call and he seems to think its a virus and to bring her in int the morning. We are about to recheck her to see if the medicine we just gave her is having any luck and if not we are headed to St Francis East. other than a fever and a headache she shows no real signs of trouble like normal when she is sick. She has been sleepin a lot. i will keep it posted as we go along and btw, thanks for listening to a concerned Dad in the middle of the night and please really pray for my little girl:sad1:

Hope she feels better soon! If she spikes that high. Put her in bathtub with cool water. It will bring her body temp down. Spiking too high too fast can cause fevers.

So the Doc saw her this morning and decided to do some blood work. Heather HATES Needles.....sooooo after they brought the biggest orderly they could find in to help "restrain" her they were able to take some blood. The full grown nurses could not keep her down:lol1: They said her white count is up but that her urine sample came back great. They still think its a virus so were are keeping her on a steady diet of meds till it passes over. My wife is now showing signs with a 101 fever too. Looks like a long weekend. Thanks for the prayers. Every little but helps
I guess its just something dads do when their children, especially litlle girls, are sick. We worry a little... but in the long run I know my Father is in control....

Amen, our Father can handle anything, and I can relate on worrying about our kids being sick as well. Takes a little patience, and alot of faith and prayer. Hope this virus passes and your girls feel better soon!

Heather broke her fever this morning. Laura had a reaction to the Darvaset she was given. something about yellowing eyes? She got her new meds about 30 min ago. Should be back up an running tommorrow. I am begginning to feel a bit under, but it could be because it was so hot and i pretty much spend my days in it. get my first day off since father's day friday:thumbsup1:

Will be praying for you! I know as a parent I would much rather be sick than have one of my babies be sick! Hope this will pass quickly for all of you- kids tend to bounce back fast!:)

Glad the little one if feeling better. Your wife will too soon enough. And I'm hoping you're not sick but thats how it goes. The little ones bring it into the house and EVERYBODY catches it...

Yep. Heather is bouncing around like a spring chicken. Laura must be feeling alright as she went out with a bunch of her friends to see that vampire movie. I got a heck of a head ache but no fever. And the littlest one Olivia Mae is just ticked because she is in bed... Thanks for all the prayers:thumbsup1:
