Anyone ever seen one of these cars in person. They are what Fox Body cars are all about. If you haven't, you need to google it.

in person, no. I've seen them around the web and they sure are sweet.

but I don't know that I'd say they are what the fox is all about. They were built for collectible value, the idea of Shelby but not the true racing heart. Other "special edition" cars were built along the road, though the Saleens and Ford SVO and SVT models stand out, they were built for the speed, the handling, the awesome, the collector value was an added bonus.

the Mustang has always come in many editions and packages, but I think the Fox will be remembered for the LX and the GT, the simply sales floor cars that you could turn into ANYTHING.


however, I do agree, if you haven't seen these (and the very small crop of MkII) then you certainly should, its a neat portion of Fox history, and just one more toy none of us will be able to get our grubby little hands on! lol

If these cars hadn't come around it is possible that the Cobra and the Cobra R would have never been built considering Ford ask a small company to build something unique. And yes, these cars are straight up off the shelf race cars. You had to be a member to get one, if you were lucky enough to get one.

saw one i took this pic at a NMRA show at Atco speedway may 2009, i really didnt get that excited when i was checking it out im not crazy about the color scheme and the mods were OK i guess, most of our cars make twice the power and have way more mods. But since its a Foxbody i still give it respect. It was a great show specially cause my stang took 1st place for modified 79 to 93 mustang class:thumbsup1:
