View Full Version : Need 4.6 short block or long block

As the title reads. I need a 4.6 for a 2000 GT. If anyone has one that is in good shape let me know.

buddy of mine has a block from a 2000 GT. he had a problem with his windsor motor shooting plugs so swapped to romeo heads/cams onto his current windsor motor. he does still have a spare windsor motor, though. only thing we could see wrong with it is some weld work was done around where the starter is mounted. but he ran that motor for over a year w/o any problems with the starter. he's also got two sets of windsor heads but i'd recommend helicoiling the spark plug holes and it should be good to go. if interested, let me know.:thumbsup1:

Don't know how much you want to spend. But have you checked Kar Kraft? The usually have a bunch of mod motors.

Eh, to be honest I am looking for a used one, new ones are a bit out of my price range right now. But I did send a message to the mpsautosalvage. Thanks.

Thanks to all of you who posted up with motors that you were aware of for me. I greatly appreciate it. I have decided to tear the motor down and (hopefully) fix a few things that are wrong with the motor and put it back together. Just seemed more reasonable to me to go this route.

On another note, anyone have a front clip for a 2000 GT laying around? LOL, long and short of it, putting it on a trailer to take to the shop, I broke the tabs off........now the bumper is hanging.....lol.
