I had my car painted and now I have to put back on my door molding. What is the best stuff to use to get the molding to stick to the door and fenders good and last a long time without any problems? Thanks

We tried that stuff before and it didn't work. Is there any weather conditions or what else could I do to help it stick better and not look like crap?

3M is what I use also,I am sure you did but did you get all old glue/tape off moldings. My buddy also uses a lil, i mean a lil heat to soften up both as he installs them.they sit flat and have yet to lift.

I use the 3m as well. Just like any adheisive it is all in the prep of the surface. The heat gun works wonders.

Okay I will have to try that. We didn't heat them up at all, and they was not cleaned off really good either.

First of all, I am fairly new to this forum. Over the past few weeks, my father and I have been in the process of making fiberglass moldings for these cars. It seems like no matter what you do, its almost impossible to reuse the stock moldinds without them curling up on the ends. We almost have them finished, and they are turning out awesome! I'm having trouble hosting these on here with imageshack. Send email for pics or go on corral.net. Thanks

I sell 3m. The best adhesion promoter to use with 3m double sided tape is 3m 06396. This stuff is awesome and will not let loose when used with the double sided tape. It bonds like concrete. Bad thing they come in a box of 25 wipes which is way more than you would need. Most body shops keep it, maybe one would sell you a couple packs. It's not very expensive.
