Hey guys, well I will need to get my car tuned by a pro after i finish the build and would love to use shops on the site, but no one is near columbia and if my car needs tuning, i am not driving far.
Has anyone heard about or used CPR "potter racing" for a tune/dyno and are they any good? They are located in West Columbia so thats only a five minute drive. I can pull the car there if I have too but my truck wont pull it upstate
Thanks,
Jason

Charles Potter(CPR) is a great guy to deal with. Give him a call. :thumbsup1:

From what I was told Charlie Doesn't run the dyno anymore,Richard Lee does. I would definitely go by word of mouth. Chris at the muffler shop does ok,but so does carolina chassis dyno. Not to take anything from the guys on this forum, but I can understand not want to pull it for a long distance.

Didn't know Charlie didn't dyno anymore. Travis at Carolina Chassis Dyno is good too. Thanks for that reminder Robert. :thumbsup1: I really did know that. :lol1:

thanks for the input guys. the only thing i have heard about travis is he may not be so nice. but it might be just two guys that dont get along. i sent carolina an email. my ex-uncle inlaw is going to help with the cam/heads and intake install. he knows what he is doing and he puts me to work. so i will at least learn with that part. but he is a chevy guy and will only be able to make the car drivable. thats why i needed something near my home. my 2004 ranger with the 3.0 is tuff, but pulling a 19ft bowrider was hard on it. a car trailer and car would kill it.she wouldnt make a trip upstate and i dont think justin at PP has a dyno

Travis pretty arrogant at times, but he seems to do a good job. Talk to both travis and chris,I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I called CPR in regards to some advice and a turbo car tune and they told me to call The Muffler shop, seeing as Chris Touton (?spelling?) works over there now. I've heard nothing but good things about his abilities, but other than that, I know nothing of the guy.

I know that feeling. I'm just getting started with my project so it'll be a while before I build. I'm right down the road as well. If you ever need a hand, let me know. I'd love to turn some wrenches while I'm at a stalemate with my car.
