After talking with Matt (TwistedSS) a little bit this evening, along with Chuck (badass1993) I'm been thinking.......
Since Charlotte/Concord is a straight shot up I-85 for us upstate SC members, a straight shot up I-77 for most of the Cola area members and a straight shot down Hwy 49 for Chuck and others in his area of Asheboro AND it's about 1 to 1 1/2 for all of us this would make the most central location for ALL of us to have big meets at.

I mean there is the possibility we could hold a track event at the new Z Max Dragway in Concord or another big cruise-in at the Quaker Steak and Lube like we did back in Feb 2008.
Yes I still plan on some of us making at least one Fat Boys in 2009 and I also would like to get a group to go to Mustangs Unlimited in GA for a cruise-in or two.

Ya'll give me some feed back on this one. :feedback:

I went to the first Charolette meet, and it was a great location. Its good for me because its 1 3/4 hours south, not TOO far, race tracks near by, you have a LARGE selection of places to eat, etc.

Charlotte doesn't seem like a bad place to hold the bigger meets...........you got Zmax and Lowes Motor Speedway......QS&L........Some race shops and Concord Mills mall so it's not like there is nothing to do there lol:thumbsup1:

Just LMK, I'll check out all the places around, and help in finding us a good place to have a meet at. If we want to try a different place other then QS&L.

As far as Zmax Dragway. Are you wanting to do a SEFB only event? Or try to just hold an event when the track is open for a T&T? If they ever start having anything going on at the track.

I'm thinking something on that road will work best, due to ease of location. But something in towards Charlotte would work also.

Not sure yet on the track. Gonna have to do some checking around on that.

Oh and if we do start having our big meets in this area YOU BETTER BE THERE!!! hehehe

Here's an idea: SPRING AUTO FAIR:thumbsup1:

If you want to be somewhere off 85, then the Concord area near QS&L will probably be the area. Or maybe just south of there in the University area.

Here's a suggestion. What if we have a meet here.

http://www.377fast.com/parties.html

Victory Lane Karting...some of yall have probly heard of it, but it's a indoor go-kart racing facility. It's in Charlotte right off I-85. we could have a private party. I don't know what the cost would be, but the more we have the cheaper per person I suppose.

Or i'm game for the spring autofair @ LMS

Victory lane is around $20 a run from what I hear but I'm sure we could get a group discount. There is a new indoor karting place in Mooresville as well, about 25 min away off I77. I live here so you know I'm down for a meet. There is that Shadyside race in March I talked about in another thread, looks to be fun. Shelby is close, 45 min west of Charlotte. Their 10.5 Outlaw races are awesome! http://www.shadysidedragway.com/ Just keep us posted I'm ready for whatever,

what about nascar speed park up that way. It's like 30 bucks for a all day pass and they have the karts that are like real nascar cars

I think the nascar speedpark is a great idea. an all day pass for the karts would be cool...they have an indoor kart track as well. If we get there early enough we could line all the foxes up right outside the place and take some pics.

I love the sound of Charlotte being a meeting spot. Of course I love driving and especially love driving my car!! So I wouldnt care if the meeting spots rotated that way everyone gets a relatively fair shot at a meeting/SEFB event. However, this isnt a perfect world so Charlotte is a good in the middle spot, even if you look at the Tenn., Viginia, and Florida members. Theres hotels, food, nightlife, malls, DRAGWAYS, and other things. Plus there are those of us from around those areas that could possibly provide a nights stay, and give suggestions for eating, and fun!! :thumbsup1:
