OMG I bought an Import!!!!

Just picked this up today. Its an 83 280Z. Its got 200k miles on it but it runs like a top. Drives good, has plenty of power. The body is a little rough but for five hundread dollars I couldn't turn it down. Ill probably bondo the bad spots, throw a cheap paint job on it and drive her till she blows.

ok, is this confession time? :) Although I don't own any now, I've had a VW, 2 Toyota models, a Suzuki motorcycle, and a Mazda! Like anything else, if I'm gonna spend some monies, I want the most for the least, and from the sounds of it, for $500 you couldn't beat it!

My buddy usta have one, he was gonna turn it into a drag car, but we decided to use it on the paitball feild in stead. lol. He just bought a lil 93 infiniti for 500 bucks for his lil beater car. lol

Wow a V8 swap is so tempting. I've been drooling over kits all day at work. But Ill probably keep the six banger in it. Im gonna do some body work and primer it. Maybe throw a cheap paint job on it. I wanna get it looking decent and maybe put a system in it. I need an import to drive to import shows and what not to promote my car show and dragon run:thumbsup1:

For $500.00 you can't beat it and the engine will long outlive the body on it.........if you don't want to get a V8 for it and keep it in the import theme....why don't you get an inline 6 from a skyline and drop it in???? talk about a monster!!

Hey, if u want a good one of a kind paint job, me and my buddys can hook u up.... Cept there might be some dents from when the paintballs hit, and if it gets rained on a couple time, the paint will go away, but other than that. It will look good..... lol

I'm limited in my import knowledge.....did work at a Nissan dealer for 8 years though.........I would go for the RB26DETT Twin turbo inline six.....some guys in cali are tuning these thru the moon with boost......

the rb25 is an easier swap and you can get one with full harness,ecu and trans for around $1500.
