Where to get these things?

Well guys while the block is getting pushed out i am going to work on my interior. So i got a few questions.

1.) What are your thoughts on dynamat or some kinda sound deading stuff. I am not going to put some major system in here. Was just thinking about road noises and things like that.

2.) I have to get some new carpet. I have the gray interior and wanted to know where i could get another one along with a head liner. I have seen that 50resto has them but does anybody know about their prices or do we have a vendor here that can cut some deals on this kinda stuff?

3.) I am going to get a cage. I have looked and summit has a 8 point for a good price. The 10 point is less. What are your thoughts on the cages that summit sells?

4.) I am going to do a rear seat delete. Who makes a good one that can match whatever carpet that i get? ( I know you can make your own )

5.) What are your thoughts on the seats that summit sells? Take in to account i have around a 36 belt size. I am not a small dude. Where to get a decent set of seats?

6.) Who makes a good set of guages. I am not a fan of the factory ones. They look kind of dated.

7.) What gaskets would you replace while you are doing the interior?

If i can get any of these things from our vendors and save a few bucks and help them out point me in the right direction. Also any other input on the inside of the car would be great.

i have RAAMAT in my car, have the floor pans, roof, inner quarters, pretty much did everything but the doors so far. it helped a good bit.

put a set in my dads car, they are a nice quality. hes a 34 belt at hes comfortable in them, im a 30 and i move around a good bit.

6.) Who makes a good set of guages. I am not a fan of the factory ones. They look kind of dated.

got a full set of autometer gauges in my car. you can use the mc-machine.com plate or the florido50 pieces. or nordskog (sp?) makes one. all take about the same afford/money to install.

7.) What gaskets would you replace while you are doing the interior?

quarter windows if needed, doors, trunk/hatch. rain/dew wipers in the doors. foxmustang restoration sells a nice complete kit.

If i can get any of these things from our vendors and save a few bucks and help them out point me in the right direction. Also any other input on the inside of the car would be great.

I agree with andy, Dynomat is VERY good stuff. I have it just around my speakers in my door and it makes a BIG differance. I dont have it any were else. But i know around the speakers it helps

Is the car going to be used for drag or road racing as far as the cage is concerned????

if you're ever down in the columbia area let me know and ill show you mine. putting a single layer of sound deadener in the roof made a would of difference.

car has big cam and turn downs and still reasonably quiet. my 50 year old parents had no problem driving it 850 miles home from Connecticut.
