Well, bought this Richard Petty print off ebay. The person I bought it from had it packaged up very, very well. I guess FedEx decided to have a throwing contest with my box. Because it arrived with the glass broken, which hurt the matting around the print, and the glass scraped the print it's self also.

I hate it when these shipping companies ruin something that can't be replaced.:bat: This print is signed & #'ed by Richard Petty and the artist Jeanne Barnes.

I have got a plan. We can get Bones to get a job at FedEx and he can straighten out the problem. Then he can drop the "Certain Word Bomb" and move on to UPS and handle them as well. Get on it Bones. You have 2.5 days before you have to go back to work. Problem Solved.:deal:

That sucks. But your friend should have at least got $100.00 from UPS.:yes1: Every UPS & FedEx package is insured for $100.00. If you want more then $100.00, then you pay the extra.

There is already a claim filed with FedEx over this matter.:yes1:

Hate to hear it, but maybe it was for a reason... I didn't know that you were a Petty fan, and in cleaning some boxes in the garage the other day I found some antique looking Pepsi bottles with the King on them. Someone gave them to me years ago knowing I was a NASCAR fan, but forgot I liked Rusty and Earnhardt. Anyway, they're here collecting dust, and though I know not what they're worth at all, if you want to cover shipping I'll send 'em down to you, or bring 'em to M/W for you to have. I'd rather them be appreciated than to continue collecting dust...:thumbsup1:

They will only pay out what I paid for it on ebay, plus the shipping, and I keep the print. Which is 100% fine with me.

The bad part is I bought it for a B-Day present for a friend. Looks like I will have to find him something else.:thumbsdown1: Since the print got a little messed up. Oh well, I will just replace the glass and hang it up some place.:yes1:

Thats a shame man. Its amazing the way peoples packages get treated in delivery. I order 2 struts and 2 shocks the other day. Noticed the box had a decent size hole in it...sure enough I had 2 struts and one shock...it looked like the 4th shock got torpedoed out the box at some point...never to be seen again.

That sucks man. I hate fedex. They're the worst IMO. I've had theyre drivers be too lazy to even drive up my driveway to the house. They'd just leave the packages on the mailbox by the road! I've had to call fedex & give them an earful twice about that now. UPS has left packages for me INSIDE my neighbors suv before. Actually opened his door & put my package inside. Yeah, they got an earful about that too. No problems ever with DHL though.

Not really a Petty fan Skip. I was an Earnhardt fan since my first Daytona 500 I went to in 1984.:yes1: I had every diecast available of Dale's. Sold 95% of it back in 2002. I still have a bunch of Nascar collectibles. Most of which have been signed. I appreciate the offer on the Petty Pepsi bottles. But I have no use for them, they would just collect dust here also.

No prob Bro !

Been thinking of selling my extensive Rusty/Dale collections as well, but I have no idea what the market is for that stuff now. I haven't bought any in years... Did you pick out a new gift for your buddy ?

The Nascar collectible market has went way down. Now some of the older Earnhardt pieces are bringing some good money still. Just do a search on completed auctions on ebay, it will show you what the market is.

Nope, haven't decided on a new present yet. Got till the 30th, so I have a few days left.
