Not being there maybe it's not right to question/comment, but...(always have my .02 worth!) :) .............
How is it that, "work is very near completion", and it's not till NOW that it's been "discovered" that another cover is needed? Reminds me of an incident a few years ago on our home...
The french doors wouldn't shut quite right & were leaking severly when it rained...MUCHO PROBLEMO as you can imagine. Ok...so I get the ole proverbial "3 quotes" and went with the middle priced guy. I had to have carpet pulled up, flooring cut out from damage, etc. On the 2nd day he began to install my new doors. Well...after pretty much a full day of "trying" to get it to fit with jimmy rigging, cutting, modifying, exusing, hammering, this and that he finally says, "I think (operative word) I can get it, but I'll need another day."
He was butchering the job ( :) I can laugh now), and I said, "Hey...I can't have any more of this...what do I owe you for the work you HAVE done, because I can't have you come back and "try" any more?" I hired him to FIX the problem, not "try" to fix :) LOL
Oh well...
What's wrong Hanley that it "needs" another cover? Is there NO WAY it can be fixed with what they've got? Hey...they might be too professional, meaning...it would be ok to the average eye, but they don't want to put their name on it because they can't get it 100%? I don't fault anyone like that! I can always appreciate quality work, and I have no problem paying for something if I'm gonna get what I paid for :)
Have a good one...I know you won't rest well till you've got your Fox back by your side! :)
How far can you travel to get one? There's one in Charlotte for $100...don't even know if that's a good price, but they're to be had.

Justin stopped at the body shop today to check on it... I stripped as far as I could take it .. the shop would strip what I couldn't since they had some super industrial nuclear militray grade stripper ... even it didn't budge the hard baked coats that remained .... they sprayed it and when they flexed the cover the fresh paint cracked over what would not come off..... I've got a few messages out now so I'll see what happens
