View Full Version : How would this look...............
I've got a 90' hatch with 225-55-16's all the way round, what if I put some 235-55-16's or 235-50-16 's on the rear can't remember which size it is.
Would that look horrible ? ? ?
I've got a lot of space between the tires and the fender and lowering the car isn't my first choice. I'm 46 and it's hard enough to crawl out the car as it sits. :sad1:
With that being said help me out with some tire sizes and pictures if you've got them.
Thanks, ivel

the 55 series tire you have now is taller the the 50 series you want to put on, you would have more fenderwell showing.
also going from 225 to 235 makes the tire wider not taller.
We had some 225 60 16's at one time on my mothers 92 GT and they looked pretty good and helped fill the fenders more.
Can't really tell much difference between to 2...but i wouldn't go taller than 60's. Car still has stock suspension.

I have 225-55-16 in the front and 245-55-16 in the rear and I like the look of it. If you did the same size all the way around you would be able to rotate them increasing tire life, but I like the look of bigger in the back.

I have 225/55/16 in the front and 255/50/16 in the rear and the tires on front and back are the same height.

Can you tell the difference looking at it ?
I may have to check into this setup.
