Looks like its gonna be Bama vs. Gators for sec champ game.:thumbsup1: IF gators beat bama, and they (bama) are still#1 at the time, then gators and pretty much a shoe in for BCS again this year:thumbsup1:

It should be a done deal if I'm not mistaken. I know that we have the West locked up already, and I'm pretty sure that Florida already locked up the East, so yes it would appear that we get to meet in Atlanta.

As long as we dont have a letdown against either Mississippi ST, or Auburn ( our 2 remaining games ) then the #1 ranking will be intact and there for the taking if the Gators should win. On that note if the Gators win the SEC, they're definitely going to the N/C game, and you have a seriously good chance to do it. I think yall look better than we do right now, although I'm still VERY happy about the season we've had so far...:patriot:

Yea im pretty impressed with the gators this year also. our average points in a game sence our loss o ol' miss is 50-10. so it should be a good game

The way Florida is playing, I'm not sure they can be beat right now. SEC Championship game may as well be for the National Title.:thumbsup1:

Since we're in a college football thread, I'd like to extend a :finger:to the Georgia Bulldogs for beating my Cats this weekend. One of the most entertaining games I've watched in awhile.

They likely wont look the same playing against us. Florida and Bama have a habit of getting into the typical SEC defensive slugfest that seems so prevalent in our fine conference. Of course one or the other could break things open and produce a blowout game, but I dont think that'll happen...

It will be a tough game for sure, and could very well produce our only loss of the season ( not that I'm looking past MST, or AU ), but we'll have to play it to see. I for one am just happy that we're doing so much better !

I thought Kentucky played well, and looked pretty good in a few games ( yall certainly showed up for the Bama game ! ) and only really looked poor in the Florida game. I thought for awhile there that yall were gonna get Georgia...:thumbsup1:

On a side note, the guys I have my UK season tickets with rented an RV and went to the UK vs. Bama game in Tuscaloosa. (I was at the NMRA World Finals that weekend). They said the Alabama faithful were the nicest, most accomodating fans they had seen at a road game in the SEC.

So props to Tide fans.

Well, we sure thank ya for the comment ! I of course can never speak for everyone else, but as a big SEC fan, I always try to show respect/friendship to fellow teams from the conference. I'll never root against Bama of course, but have rooted for everyone else at one time or another ( yes, even Auburn LOL ! ) when they have a shot a title/better game/bowl than we do. I always want our conference to be the best it can be, and if we can go to the title game, I want someone from the SEC to go, and you can bet I'll be rooting for them in the title game ! This even includes Florida if they beat us in the SEC game...

I'm hoping it will be. They have a very high powered offense, and right now look to be about the best in the land. I dont think they'll look quite that good against our defense, but a Gator win is certainly possible. The fallout from that would be not too much of a drop for us if it's a close game, they would move to #2, and would play for the N/C, and if Bama then won it's bowl game, and Florida won the title, we could have a pair of 1 loss SEC teams ranked 1 and 2 at the end of the season. Cool huh ?!?!

When the gator-vandy game was on, the ESPN dudes were sayin that gators are the best 1 loss team in the country, and one dude even said that he thinks gators are the best team in the country. Gator-Bama, should be a good game. But Gator-GA game should have been a close one also, but we all saw the outcome of that one. Im not sayin its gonna be a run-away with bama, so dont get that confused. but i have confadence in the Gators, they should take it. Not sayin they will, but they have more than enough there to beat Bama. I root for all SEC teams, cept for AU, for some reason they always beat us... GRRR, it pisses me off, i wish we played them this year. Gators are on fire rite now, i hope they keep it up. Go Gators!!!!!

All valid points, and like Notch said, thats why we actually play the games... The last time we played in the SEC championship game was in 1999 against a team that was supposed to kick our heads in ( Florida ) pretty handily. We won that game 35-7, so anything is certainly possible, especially since we were only supposed to win like 8 games total this season LOL ! I didn't think we'd do anything really good until next year ! Whether we continue the miracle season, or if Florida wins, I just hope it's a good game ( unlike the mention UGA blowout ) and I also hope that whoever wins it goes on to win it all !!! :patriot:

I think it was their wakeup call. Everybody needs one now and again, and Tebow took the blame for it all on himself and promised that nobody would play harder from that point on. The team seemed to really respond to that. Of course they're not merely relying on Tebow and Harvin to do it all anymore either. Spreading the ball around certainly helps !!!

I dont forsee any of that type of trickery from our squad in the dome though... I think it's going to be a "lets see how physical a game we can make it", and once the tempo is lowered to a smashmouth/defensive/SEC struggle kind of a game, can Florida do that for the whole time ? I think yall can, but I'll be willing to bet that something along those lines is what Coach Saban is going to try. They're going to want the focus to be our O line up against the front 4 of your D and see who wins in the trenches...

I wasn't trying to talk smack, I just figure thats what the coaching staff would be thinking.

I dont think the question would be that we have the stamina to play physical all game. I think the question would be if we have the talent level to keep up with your excellent playmakers all game. In a knockdown dragout, I give us an even chance. If things are left too open and the talent level of some of your special folks are allowed to shine/make too many big plays, then things could get ugly for us in a hurry ! :yes1:

O i know u werent tryin to talk smack, neather was i. lol. Its all in good fun any way. yea, if they get in a grove then there almost unstopable. yall just better watch out of the punts, gators like to block them. and then a couple plays later have a td out of it. and when yall do get it off. lol, they like to run 40-80 yards down the feild before there stoped. I cant wait till that day, im so exctied. like i said i dont expect it to be a total blow out like that gators have been goin all season long. I think its gonna be a VERY well played game on both teams parts. Its gonna be a VERY good game non the less.

I would worry about both of your two teams remaining games, before any talk of a NC game.:yes1:

I know Bama is a different team but. Mississippi State hopes for an encore performance against Alabama. The Tide have lost to the Bulldogs in each of the past two seasons and have not scored an offensive TD in these teams' past three games.

And anyone who thinks the Gators/FSU game won't be a good one, is smoking some really good stuff.:yes1:

If both teams don't win out until the SEC championship game, then no NC game for either team.:nonono1:

dude, im sry, but imma hafta disagree with you on that one. I was at last years game.... we beat them by like 30 points. Tebow was out mid 3rd, early 4th. And he played that game with a broke hand. FSU is no better than last year, and gators are even better than they were last year. SVTSkip

Actually on that one I'm half agree/disagree with points both of you made. On the Gator side of the house Florida is playing tougher than last year, and Tebow is healthier, but FSU IS much better than they were at this time last year. Will that make it close ? I doubt it seriously, but it IS college, and an in state rivalry game, so anything goes. I mean look at Auburn and Bama. The Tigers look horrid this year. The defense is OK, but the offense is pure garbage ! Could they beat us ? You bet ! Anything can happen until the clock says 0000 in the 4th LOL ! :thumbsup1:

I understand the whole rivalry thing. and i love it. but i just dont see FSU beating the Gators anytime soon. They have got to come a long way to be as good as the Gators are rite now. And im not just sayin this cuz im a fan. But yes, anything can happen. Just look at the app st. MU game last year. One of the biggest up sets in college football in who knows how long. So i agree anything could happen. Its not very likely, but yes anything can happen

First mistake, don't look at last year. That is history. Are the Gators looking better then last year, yes. But so is FSU, they weren't ranked last year, they are ranked in the top 20 right now. Makes them a better team. This game is in Tallahassee, and not the swamp this year. Plus you factor in that all these kids played against or with each other in high school. They would love to ruin it for the Gators. The FSU/Gators and FSU/Canes rivalry have been tough ones ever since I started following college football back in 1984. Doesn't matter which team is better, they are some slug fests.

Look at the Canes/Gators game earlier this year. The Canes played 3 quarters of football, then gave up (didn't have what it took to finish the game). But they sure gave the Gators hell for 3 quarters. Do I think FSU will beat the Gators, no. But I wouldn't have the attitude that the Gators will slaughter FSU. Because one thing I have learned from watching these FL team rivalries for the last 24 years, is that you never know how the game will turn out. There have been many shockers in the past. Thats why they play the games.:yes1:

I was actually joking that FSU had 5 of their receivers on the bench for the BC game after a brawl on campus last week. Coach Bowden sat them out, and I'm sure that didn't help as they wound up losing Saturday noght to BC, and further muddying the confusing picture in the ACC championship picture...
