my brother has a sn95 cobra clone its stock except the smog has been deleted has bbk longtube headers i just bought a full msd setup for it msd ignition box coil and distributor. I hooked everything up loosend the distributor up and went to pull it out (with full intention of not turning it as to mess with the timming i was just going to drop the new msd one in its place and roll out) sooo the old dis was being stubborn and wouldnt come out (probably the stock one) so as i was yanking it out it finaly poped out but it turned... so when i put the new one in the timming was all out of wack.. i had never timmed a car before so i did my research and learned about the sprout connector thing unpluged it put the light on it and it came up on 16 so i turned it down to right between 13-14 cause the car only drinks 93 octane and i read that this was a good thing to do scince i live in sc and we dont have to worry about smog tests. what do you guys think about this ???

Stock timing with spout removed is 10 deg. I used to run at about 13 deg advanced in my 95 and it ran fine. How does it sound and feel when you rev it up by pressing the throttle?

the 94-95 computers are junk, I should know. have it tuned. from what I've been told the 94-94 pull out massive amounts of timing so you can really get some more power at different power in the RPM band. set it to 10 and let the computer do the advancing for you when you step on the gas. usually cost about 500 bucks the first time but it is well worth it

I think my 94 Cobra is set to 15. Mark @ Stable put a Diablo chip in mine and tuned it on the dyno and it runs awsome, well worth it. :thumbsup1:

I actually played with a buddies 95 on the dyno and it lost power as we increased the timing via the dizzy. With the tuner I controlled the timing and made a good bit more power, but like said above, if your doing it via the dizzy, spout out, set it at 10 deg.
