Do these tires run small? It seems as though they do, as here is what im going to assume is either the MT ET Street RADIALS run large, or the BFG runs small..

Here is a 255/60R15 ET Street Radial...

Now here is a BFG Radial TA 255/60R15

So did I just prove that one of them is running large, or ones small? Im just curious because I am going to be switching rear tires to the BFG Radial TA's for the street, and dont want the 255's if they look tiny as hell like they do in those pics... Especially becuase im throwing 4.10's in there with a 31 spline Detroit True track..

Its a combination of both, the DR's run a little big, and the Radial T/A runs a little small. best bet is to pick based on the actual dimestions of the tire, not just the sidewall measurements.

So the BFG 275/60R15 is going to be like say 27.7 vs a full 28?

Do you think they will fit ok on a hatch thats lowered 1" in the rear, with 15x8 and 5.5" BS?

Correct, they will be a little shorter, and narrower as well. If you can fit the same size in a DR, the non-DR will fit fine since they are slightly smaller. I know the 275/50/15 Radial T/A is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than the 275/50/15 DR. You might want to check the actual tire specs to be sure its not too small.

Im talking about a 60 series, not a 50.

I dont want the 275/50 I want the 275/60...

I know, I was using the 275/50 as an example, since that's what i run and have first hand experience with.

Ahhhh lol. Sorry.

So then basically I should be more than fine with that tire choice.

Then I figured some M&H Cheater slicks in the same size as those run a bit small also.

Yes, if the 275/60 DR fits, you will have no problem fitting the same size Radial T/A.

Specs for the T/A in 275/60/15:

8" wheel
11" section width
9.7" tread width
28" overall diameter
743 revs per mile

Specs for the MT DR in 275/60/15

8" wheel
11.0" section width
9.5" tread width
28.0" overall diameter

So according to the specs, the BFG is dimensionally the same as the MT DR, but the tread width is wider. This shouldnt cause any fitment issues since the section width is the same.

Thats odd becuase the DR looks a LOT bigger on those cars..

It is odd, especially having seen the difference in the 275/50. The BFG T/A numbers came from Tire rack, the MT numbers came from MT. Maybe its an optical illusion..lol.

Im debating if I want to start with a 255/60R15 and then if I feel thats too small, then go to the 275..

mabe i can help you here with a couple pics.

the red car in the rear has 275/60 bfg comp ta's on the rear. my car (blue one) has 255/60 bfg comp ta's on the rear. both cars are lowered and neither have any rubbin issues. bob did say he hear's the 275 scrub the inside fender well during ex-steam suspension articulation, such as pullin in or out of uneven drives and such but no real problems during normal driving at all.

I run 275-35-18 BFG t/a Drag radials on 18" by 10.5 The rim width really makes a big difference on any of them. You may be comparing different cars w/same D/R but different widths?!? IMO
