View Full Version : Mass Air Conversion
How Hard would it be to convert my 86 gt to mass air. Or can you still get a good tune when its speed density if you go with a power adder?

it is simple to convert.you can buy a kit or pick up the parts one at a time.mass air should be the first mod for any 86-88 car.

You can tune it to work with SD, but if you make any other chages after the tune, it will have to be re-tuned.MA gives a lot more flexabilty to chnage up things after the tune

I just converted mine to Mass Air and it was really easy 2hrs and i was done. I used this webpage http://www.stangnet.com/tech/maf/massairconversion.html easy to follow steps. I used a sensor out of a 97 Thunderbird and works great. After I installed it I noticed a difference in throttle respose and it acceled up through 5500rpm smoothly especially when i put in my buddies ADS superchip he hooked me up with. The conversion was the best thing i have done to my car.
